Rekordbox 6.6.1 and DD-1000 driver issue (Mac)

Hi there.

Recently, one of my friends updated Rekordbox to the latest release (6.6.1) on his Mac. After launching the application Rekordbox requires to install the DDJ-1000 driver update (version 4.0.0) but actually, on the official support page, the latest available version is 3.0.0.

Any idea? Is it a bug?

If you are using macOS Monterey or Big Sur, you can safely install the 4.0 drivers as directed. If you are NOT, then you should not install the 4.0 drivers.

If you still have questions or issues regarding this matter, please file an inquiry ticket here and our support team will gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue.

Thank you.

No mistake, looks like they might have bundled the 4.0 drivers (for Monterey) in with the app... which is interesting as we've not heard anything about the updated drivers or release date.

Yep, same. I uninstalled 3.0.0 as directed but then there was no 4.0.0 to update to :/ So had to reinstall 3.0.0. This all after I had to update security settings in recovery mode to make the 3.0.0 driver work at all on my M1. :/

Afraid this is pretty typical of Pioneer's software update standards. This is pro software and still no M1 update, Mac OS updates take months to come out past OS being released etc etc.
