DDJ-400 not detected as an audio device

Hello, I want to share my problem today.

For my birthday, I got a DDJ-400. Since the first time I plugged my DDJ in my laptop (which is new too), it is not detected as an audio device. I explain :

When I launch rekordbox and plug the DDJ, I can control the software with the controller, no problem. For example I can play tracks, mix it, etc. But the sound is only coming from my laptop. It is not coming from the speakers connected to the DDJ-400 RCA plugs... and I can't select the DDJ400 in the Rekordbox audio settings, it doesn't appear in the "ASIO" audio category.

Also, my laptop doesn't recognize the DDJ-400 as an audio device. When I go there, the DDJ-400 doesn't appear at all...

It also doesn't appear here :

So I don't really understand where does the problem come from, because when I plug the ddj to an other PC, it works perfectly...

If somebody can help me it would be great...

Sincerely,

Guillaume.

Yes !

It is a 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 !

Can it be the source of the problem ? Why ?

Update your BIOS (preferred) or uninstall / disable the Intel HD Audio or Realtek audio device as there is a conflict between the CPU and those devices causing other audio / MIDI devices to not respond.

Hi Guillaume,

I had the same issues, recently purchasing a Lenovo Yoga 7-15ITL5 which has an Intel 11th gen i7. Lenovo's latest BIOS update does not fix this issue so the fix for the DDJ 400 on rekordbox is to disable the intel smartsound technology for USB audio (I had two drivers) this can be found under Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers. Now my DDJ 400 is recognized inside rekordbox and I am able to play audio through both outputs (headphones and line out)
