RB control vinyl high pitch noise

Hi,

As I only bedroom DJ I find the loud high pitch noise coming from the control vinyl very offputting (use Ortofons Scratch). Yes sure in a club environment or if you're playing music loud it's not an issue as you won't hear it, but for a bedroom dj setup it's not ideal, as I cannot always play loud.

I've heard Serato and Traktor time code vinyl are pretty quiet in comparison. Can anyone confirm this? Also, would Traktor or Serator control vinyl work with Rekordbox? I like Recordbox so would be a shame to switch, but the control vinyl noise is seriously making me look at other options.

Any advise help really appreciated.

Sorry, that just happens to be the frequency of the data stream used for rekordbox.

Thanks for the reply and no need to apologise. I just need to find a setup which works for me. It would be really helpful if you could answer these questions. If not you, I will somehow find the answers but you undoubtedly have the best overview!

1. Do you know if either the Traktor or the Serato control vinyl is quieter than yours? I'm guessing you have tested them pretty well and your answer saves me buying both of them to test.

2. Secondly, if yes, which of the above 2 options works best with RB? I know not great solution, but it would allow me to continue to use Rekordbox.

Thanks again

Serato's Noisemap works but the accuracy and resolution isn't as tight and could result in some abnormalities.

Traktor's CV runs roughly double-speed and is pretty unusable.

MixVibes is about 30% faster and backwards.

I haven't tried others (like Virtual DJ).
