Just received my DDJ 400 with the Rekordbox 6 license key. But on opening preferences in Rekordbox, am unable to find the 'key' looking option to enter the license key for the pro version. Please can you help me!!

there is no such thing as a rekordbox 6 license key .
rekordbox 6 is monthly subscribtion for the licence or if your hardware is supported then it is unlocking performance mode by hardware .
i think you have a rekordbox 5 license key .
i suggest ou use rekordbox 5 , i do that also cause i have a key for that .

I have exactly the same question as the first user.
On my License Key that just came with my newly purchased DDJ 400, doesn't say that the license is for 5 or not, so I presume it should be a license for Rekordbox in general, no matter the version of it.
And yes, I installed the latest version that popped up on the web-page. Also, the information about the latest version doesn't clearly specify a clear difference, that we should install the version 5 for regular use, or version 6, for cloud monthly payment... I really don't find the web-page clear enough about it and it makes me furious and VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
I'm looking for an answer from the Rekordbox staff member, please!!!
@Oleg > Sorry for the confusion; when that DDJ was manufactured and packaged, the license key for rekordbox 5 was included. The nice thing about rekordbox 6 is no license key is required - the hardware now acts as an unlock device for the software. You do not need to purchase a subscription unless you want the additional functions provided by that plan.
