Brand New XDJ-RX2 Bug or Faulty Unit?

If you are able to help that would be great! I am sure it is just a config issue but having googled all night I can’t seem to find what I am looking for.

  1. When I load a track to either Deck1/2 the BPM doesn’t match the track. I have set both tempo sliders to +- 0 and this doesn’t seem to make any difference. For example a track in RekordBox is 124.00 BPM and when it arrives on the deck it is 124.9. Obviously this is not ideal. I have also noticed the left deck tempo slider moves about an inch up before anything happens to the tempo display. This happens when loading from all situations Rekordbox Export / Midi / USB.

  2. The left deck behaves perfectly in vinyl mode and when I press play/pause the deck starts and stops immediately. I can also adjust the Vinyl Speed and that seems to have the correct effect. Also when I touch the deck it stops and starts immediately. Deck 2 however is ALWAYS on the Vinyl Slowdown style setting whatever I change. Play/Pause or touching the platter has the same effect. Again very annoying. The only information I could find on this on the Pioneer website seemed to point to a hardware failure but it is EXACTLY the same issue so I wonder if it is a setting? I have tried all 3 options in the Menu/Utility and none seem to make any difference to Deck 2. Video = https://photos.app.goo.gl/nU9yvNZEEoHLQpf5A

  3. Changing the Vinyl speed knob on Deck 2 seems to change volume output? This may be normal but it doesn’t seem like it should be? – Video = https://photos.app.goo.gl/MhxVSEB1wfuCULom7

I have checked the Firmware which seems to be on the latest version 1.38. I have also tried with RekordBox 5 & 6 which seems to make no difference.

Hi - I purchased it at Rubadub in Glasgow and took delivery of it yesterday. These issues have been since it came out the box as a brand new unit.

What do you suggest is my best course of action?

Given the extreme unlikelihood of them having any replacement stock at the moment are you able to give me a realistic expectation on lead time for a new non-faulty unit?

Sorry, you'll have to contact the retailer as we don't have information on the supply chain. If you report the problem to them now they can arrange a replacement when it becomes available if they don't currently have one on-hand.
