Just updated my DDJ SX2 Newer Firmware Causing Issues?

I recently updated my DDJ SX2 firmware from the one it came with: Oct 2015 was the date above the SER number.

The unit plays and handles the same it seems to me. So no changes with that.

The right side Pads will blink or stay solid depending on different modes I am in. I looked it up online, and from the best I can tell at least with my SX2 is that before the update this was not an issue. And, immediately after I noticed it.

So far here is what I have noticed:

While music plays on the left side, and nothing is loaded into the right - the second from the last pad bottom row will blink in soft blue or maybe green.

If I close the software - The pad above stops, and the one two over will blink red.

The hardware seems in good repair, and no odd issues while using the controller. So for now I will just write this up as a goofy firmware issue.

What got me to update the firmware and it went smoothly the first time around, was I was checking all of my drivers manually to see what was out of date.

Just thought I would mention this as I saw some posts saying it might be hardware related. Maybe the new firmware update needs to be looked into more.

If I could find the original firmware to revert back to, I could see if my theory holds any water.

I am not sure, but maybe the newer update also includes the SX3? And, might not detect the added features it offers. Just a guess on my part.

I hope this might help, or at least maybe get another look into the the newer firmware I just updated to. :)
