Genre overwriting?

I've asked this question before, but I'm going to re-ask in case someone else can give me an answer.

I spend countless hours tediously making sure that my tags on MusicBee have a large quantity of genres. I often use two or more genres seperated by a semicolon.  However, Rekordbox overwrites the genre tags. How can I turn this feature off? Please! I'd gander to say that 90% of music doesn't fit square in one genre, why have this feature of removing punctuation in the first place?

No, sorry - multiple genres are not supported, but you can certainly put multiples in that field, it is recognized as text if you were to search.

Are you talking about the autocomplete feature of the genre field when you are trying to type in there? I complained long ago about this. It was improved somewhat a few versions ago but it would be easier if I could just type without it trying to autocomplete every time I start typing.

"multiple genres are not supported"

That wasn't my question. I was asking why punctuation has to be removed in the genre fields. It's a massive inconveniece with no function. I just don't really understand.
