CDJ 3000 Link issues with XDJ

Hi

When I link my CDJ 3000 to my XDJ 700, I do not get the stacked waveform, nor any phase data on the 3000 - instead I just get a message on the 3000 that reads ‘No enlarged waveform data’.

Also when the usb is plugged into the XDJ, the 3000 displays the blue waveform by default, instead of the tri-band (which I have preset on the usb) - the tri-band does display by default however, when I load the same usb directly into the 3000.

Lastly, the XDJ big waveform is not displayed when linking from the CDJ 3000 USB.

Can someone please assist?

Many thanks

Double checking, but when using another unit that is not a 3000 you do lose some of the direct functionality.   The tri band for instance won't show if the other player can't display it, so it reverts to a blue waveform.  Also the 700 can't output the same data as the 300 so you lose the enlarged waveform comeing from the 3000 and the stackable waveform going to the 3000.  Even with these changes the linking should be smooth and easy to get going.

If this is a firmware change down the road, we'll announce it here.

Thanks Jay - I would argue that not being able to see the big waveform on the XDJ 700 when linked with the CDJ 3000 is actually a defect...

Hi Jay,

I am about to buy a set consist of DJM900 Nexus2 CDJ 3000 and CDJ 900 Nexus. Yes i need these little brother as a second player due to the great feature which is a beat divide. I am mashing a lot of vocal loops and this one is a game changer to use while performing. Question is how these two players works together. Can you elaborate on link functionality with these two like waveforms  and/or phase data on both players. Also are these 2 players well compatible with all functions while hooked up via link?

Any firmware i should be aware to enhance the functionality of these two?

Thanks in advance.

It's not a defect, the XDJ-700 was developed and designed before the CDJ-3000 was ever conceived.

Phrase works just fine.
