FollowRekordbox synching rating and cues from USB back to Rekordbox
Hello Guys,
Via a XDJ-XZ you can change the ratings of your tracks via the info menu, same works on my NXS-2 set.
What I can't seem to grasp is how the export and import via USB sticks works in Rekordbox.
I would like to do the following:
* use Rekordbox on my laptop for preparing my collection and export whatever folder / tracks I would like to have on a USB drive which incorporate custom MyTags and my initial given rating of a track
* playing from my XDJ-XZ or NXS-2 set-up allows me to use the info menu on the player to change the rating of each track, which as said I pre-defined in Rekordbox but which I might want to change as I play the track and see how it works or doesn't on the dance floor. So on the players I am likely to make a change in the rating and I want this imported back into my collection on my laptop, just like any cues that I make on the player.
* all the things which I can't change on the player itself like the MyTags that I have initially defined via Rekordbox should not change when import back into Rekordbox the actual rating and cues set via the players.
* furthermore until now I have not understood the pop-up that I see when plugging in a USB drive into my laptop running Rekordbox asking me to synch with MyTag or not.
Can anyone explain to me which procedure I should follow in order to not destroy a lot of hard work put in to getting my collection up the par.
What I am very much missing in Rekordbox, maybe I am stupid for asking, is the following pop-up structure when plugging in a USB drive:
1) Do you want to synch back changes made in ratings and cues from USB drive into collection in Rekordbox. Followed by a ticking box which holds for instance the option A: ratings and option B: cues
2) If question one is answered by "no" then it is prompted if you want to synch any changes made in Rekordbox to tracks that are on the USB drive. Followed by a ticking box which holds for instance al relevant parts like, ratings, cues, MyTag etc etc. (this should probably replace the questions of synching with My Tag)
Your help is much appreciated.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
John
