Using XDJ-XZ with OBS and VirtualDJ

My issue is that OBS is not seeing the XZ as an audio source with the default audio setup it provides in VirtualDJ.

I stumbled across this article, and it's probably exactly what I'm looking for: https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043117152-Streaming-with-OBS-XDJ-XZ-Windows-

Will it be the same setup when using VirtualDJ? Can I just follow the aforementioned article's instructions?

Sorry, thought the above attachment would be able to be expanded. Appears not.

OBS doesn't support ASIO, which is why the instructions you linked provide details on using 3rd party software to capture the ASIO input and route it to OBS, but it looks like you have OBS using the XDJ-XZ line device, which will not have the recording input.

Ah, that'll do it.

But yes, the XDJ-XZ line source was the only audio source available in that dropdown, aside from my laptop speakers and another USB audio interface. If there's no other way to rectify this other than using Voicemeeter, then I have no problem doing it; I just wanted to make sure these instructions were identical for Virtual DJ, as they're written for Rekordbox.

I'll go ahead and try and report back.

If there's anything else you can suggest in the meantime, please do.

Thanks Jay (and Pulse?) lol

WORKED!

Pretty much identical setup with VirtualDJ.

Thank you very much to whoever took the time to put this setup together; really appreciate it.

If anyone stumbles across this article with the same issue I had, you can find the Virtual DJ setup below. Follow everything else to a T (assuming you're acquainted with OBS).

The only thing different on my end was that I did not have a selection called MME: Speakers (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) for the A2 output in Voicemeeter, not sure why. I selected MME: Speakers (Realtek), which is my laptop speaker output, and that worked fine.
