I've now realised that I can no longer export to USB drives, which makes this a significantly more glaring problem given I usually mix on standalone hardware. Is there anyone that can help?

Follow[Windows] rekordbox unable to create the analysis file in the folder specified in Preferences
Hi,
I've recently purchased a new boot drive for my Windows computer, and transferred the contents of my AppData\Roaming\Pioneer folder across from the old drive to retain the library. All of my library is on a separate drive in the same computer, so the content hasn't moved at all. However, my Windows username (and therefore the path to AppData etc) has changed.
Doing this worked fine - my library appears correctly, etc - except for rekordbox complaining on launch that it couldn't create an analysis file ('rekordbox can not create the analysis file in the folder you specified in the preferences').
I found other (mostly mac-centric) posts on this forum saying to update the paths in rekordbox3.settings, and have updated this file as required (in both the rekordbox and rekordbox6 folders). When this didn't change anything, I even opened the folder in Visual Studio Code and replaced every instance of my old username in the Pioneer folder with the new one (except those in the log.log file).
Before this, I also went through every path in the rekordbox preferences window and replaced the paths as required.
All this time, I'm still getting the same error. Have I missed something?

@Barnaby > If you moved to a new computer with a new username, you would need to edit the path as you noted. Provided the path to the database is correct in your settings file, it would have access to the folder for the analysis files. If your user doesn't have permission to write to that folder, that could be the problem even if you've got the correct path in the settings file.
Inability to read/write to that folder could prevent the export database from being created prior to writing it to the export drive.
Hi Pulse - thanks for your response :)
I copied the database folders direct from the old drive, so it's possible the permissions moved with it. I did actually manage to resolve the problem by moving my database to another drive and back through Preferences -> Advanced -> Database. This has removed the error message on launch but now I have a new problem: none of the album artwork is showing up, and the vast majority of my tracks now do not show preview waveforms.
Problematically, only those *with* preview waveforms will export to USB. The others do not copy and get listed as errors in the export log. The tracks without previews still play perfectly in rekordbox, minus the full track waveform preview that usually appears between the real-time waveform and the track information in Export mode. The beatgrid is also gone, but the BPM still appears in the library view.
I have confirmed on a small number that analysing the track's BPM / Grid will bring back the waveform and grid data (but not the artwork). However, a large proportion (>40%) of my library has been manually fixed following incorrect analysis so I am very reluctant to completely replace the existing analysis. Is there any way I can retrieve the analysis data for the remaining tracks without re-analysing the entire collection? I do have database backups but they are a bit out of date so would require going over the newer tracks; I guess these would be my primary option if all else fails. I also still have the old temporary database on the other drive, if that's needed.
I can also make a new forum post for this new issue if needed; let me know if this would be preferable.
Thanks in advance!
The album art and analysis data (grids / waveforms) are stored in the hidden PIONEER folder (under Artwork and USBANLZ). If you didn't copy that folder over, or your settings file is not pointing to the right location, that would explain it.
Hi Pulse,
Sorry for the radio silence lately - I've not had access to my desktop for a few weeks so have been unable to work on this problem.
I've now confirmed that all files and folders have Full Control for SYSTEM, Administrators and my user account, and have also applied these permissions recursively (ie, to all subfolders and files underneath AppData/Pioneer) just to be sure. I've also checked and all of the artwork appears to be showing up correctly underneath the rekordbox/PIONEER/Artwork directory, which to me indicates that a file path somewhere has been corrupted, since there's not much else to go wrong with this as far as I can tell.
Unfortunately, I'm still seeing the same problem. I find it strange that it's not all of the waveforms that aren't appearing - is it possible some subset of my library has been moved or renamed, perhaps, or some of my tracks have been given different IDs at some point?
Thanks!
Sorry, it seems you've possibly made swiss-cheese of the library. I can point you to file an inquiry ticket here and it's possible our rekordbox engineers may be able to sort it out, but I can't guarantee it.
Hi Pulse -
I was coming to the same conclusion, so thought I'd have another go. I still had my old boot drive connected, so cleared the whole contents of the AppData/Roaming/Pioneer folder on my new install, copied them over again and used Visual Studio Code's Find/Replace feature to replace every instance of my old username in the Pioneer folder (this time including log.log, not that I think it mattered) with my new one. I did all this before starting rekordbox, so it didn't have a chance to confuse itself, and everything now appears to be working!
If I encounter any problems I'll post on here again, but for anyone that comes across this thread: it seems like the above will work - just don't mess it up like I did the first time 😅 I guess the takeway is don't bother trying to fix things in the rekordbox UI; just make the change manually and it won't notice a thing.
