DDJ-SR2 Noisy

I recently bought a DDJ-SR2. I have discovered that it seems to have allot of noise on its master outs via XLR. I have a fairly long run to make so i purchased some 25' Mogami XLR's for this interconnect. Not the $100 golds, but their silver line, still very good. The master out and headphone outs both go to my Yamaha MG12 mixer. The headphone outs sound pretty clean, at least an acceptable amount of noise, but the master outs are very noisy. By far the noisiest thing in my system. Have tried DI boxes in between, with ground lift, helps, but not much. Both active and inactive DI boxes. Have tried moving cable runs, for possible interference, no joy. Is this thing just noisy? It is bad, and affects the music. Did i get a bad unit? I am not new to the audio world, however am new to DJ'ing, and DJ controllers etc.. The booth outs are running to my Focusrite Clarett 8PreX, and in Ableton i see a noise floor of around -120 db. Seems very good. Its just the master outs on XLR. To be fair i have not tried RCA master outs, don't have a long enough RCA cable, yet. Should its signal ground be grounded to the mixer? The mixer doesn't have an actual ground lug, but could be done via other means.

Also i have tried every knob, dial and switch on the unit, to no affect. It is this way regardless if Serato is running or not. In fact with Serato running it quiets down ever so slightly. All sound not just the noise. Very slight, and not an issue, but interesting. I have tried disconnecting everything other than Master outs, nothing. It really seems like its just noisy, and its to much for my liking, i try to get mid range equipment, and this just ruins all other purchases. Why have nice speakers if your sound source is this noisy. I heard these sound amazing, that's why i bought it. Wanted it as both a controller, and a 'pre-amp' for my turntable.

Well i got out my old multimeter, and its seems the chassis do have continuity between the mixer and SR2. Through the XLR's ground. As we all knew already, but always love confirmation. And i have continuity all the way from my turntable to the mixer, through the SR2, so doesn't seem like a grounding issue. Disconnected grounds momentarily, no change in noise, depending on the order. Often noise gets added as expected. In one configuration, i could hear my mouse wheel. (Wireless mouse). However all this did is convince me further grounding is good, never heard that before or since.

Just for a real world example, with no music playing, i can hear the noise over my portable air conditioner sitting right next to me, running full blast! I bought this at GC, and pretty sure i got the warranty, so i am pretty sure i can exchange it, but wanted to have some indication if this is normal or not. Would be very disappointed to exchange it for the same results. Not to mention an hour drive each way!

I am on a Desktop. Windows 10. All equipment plugged into the same outlet. Through an APC UPS, and then through a fairly cheap power conditioner/sequencer. pyle PS900.
