CDJ2000 HID buffer problem

I am having a major issue with buffer/latency on may laptop

here are the specs

I5-1135G7
8 GB RAM
WINDOWS 10
REKORD BOX V6.5

So if i connect CDJ2000s via usb, to rekord box in to Performance mode (paid plan in tact) the sound is just crap, stutters, clips, i have put laptop in to high performance mode, and tried to remove any cpu throttling, but with no luck, moved the sampler up to MAX and it does get better but not enough.

its that bad that i cant even scratch the deck as the software cant keep up, this is with direct usb cables to the laptop (no hub)

If i then also plug the laptop in to the mixer via USB, then the performance is perfectly fine :/

Is this a driver issue? CDJ2000? or ASIO driver? any help appreciated! i am really cheesed off as i just got a new laptop and didn't expect any issues

Hey Fabio,

I see you have an 11th gen Intel CPU; we are aware of a conflict between 11th gen CPUs and their onboard audio systems causing 3rd party audio / MIDI / HID devices to not be recognized or function as expected. Please check with the computer or motherboard manufacturer to update any available BIOS or chipset / audio drivers.

Thanks pulse... I've updated my bios it's the only thing thaf was out of date but there is no mention in the releses of any audio fixes so I'm not skeptical it will fix the problem :(

Is this something Intel need to fix or something you guys fix in the cdj asio driver in the long run out of interest?

Sadly it's entirely up to the manufacturers to correct since it's a conflict with their audio chips / system causing the issue - it affects a wide variety of audio device manufacturers, not just Pioneer DJ. Some have already addressed it (eg. Dell, HP), and some have been slow to roll out fixes for certain models (eg. Lenovo, MSI).

Hi pulse

Understand

My laptop is actually a HP are you saying hp have already rolled out a fix for this then?

Is this more likely to be a bios driver than anything??

So the issue is processor conflicting with the audio chip when you throw in to the mix midi/hid stuff and bang it breaks it.

May have... some of the vendors have issued fixes for all models, but others have only fixed some of them.

There have been a few posts from users who were able to uninstall specific drivers or audio applications and get it working, others found disabling the onboard audio service in the BIOS was a work-around for it.

I'm just a bit confused though what has the audio driver on board the laptop got to do with anything? In hid mode the driver cdj asio comes in to play...

Or is this part and parcel of the problem?

My rane sl3 works fine... And it works fine when you plug in to djm900. It's just soon as you use cdj2000 as a sound card it goes to pot.

It's a problem with the CPU and BIOS / audio drivers which prevent 3rd party audio / MIDI devices from being recognized by the system.
