Yikes - that's not good. I would also check to ensure that this isn't a grounding issue at the outlet by testing the XZ at another location in your house.

I experienced the same when I first got my XDJ-RX, 3 years ago, I changed the power cable and it's been fine ever since. I think it was a grounding issue

I tested the controller on a few sockets in the house and found that a few of them have a grounding issue with a voltage on the earth. I tested on it on a 4th socket and it was OK. The issue does not appear to be with the controller.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to figure that out -- please contact an electrician to get your household circuitry inspected so nobody gets hurt!
