I have recently bought DDJ FLX6 and noticed strange issue or maybe a feature?
If i push the level/depth knob a bit while turning the level/depth up the controller restarts.
Is this a feature, malfunction or a bug?
This does not happen too often since i usually don't push it and my hands are relatively small, but it definitely happens every time when pushed, probably someone with stronger hands will trigger this often. This is frustrating because sometimes this happens during the mixing.
Sorry, I just re-read the issue and if this is the beat FX Level / Depth knob, it shouldn't be pressed -- so if you're pressing it and then the unit reboots, you could be causing a short or disconnect of that knob. I would return it to your retailer for an exchange if you're within the return period.

Id say this was discovered by accident, controller restarted once while I turned up level/depth knob and seems like pushed it.
Then i tried to figure what caused the restart a couple times and found out that this only happens when I make sharp pushed motion.
This usually does not occur when I play and why i am concerned, is this normal? Should the controller react like this way or this could be some sort of malfunction which should be fixed?

Understood, definitely will avoid mentioned motion.
Sadly I am past return period, however still under warranty.
Please clarify, why would I return it, did mentioned action somehow damage controller?

Yes - that would certainly be covered by warranty, you can contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your DDJ inspected and/or repaired.
So I just bought the ddj flx6 for Xmas since the 800 isn't available. Have barely used it and the same thing is happening. Turn the level depth knob to trigger effects in a mix or for a transition and it just dies. Resets and leaves me dead in the water mid mix. This seems like a problem that should warrant a replacement or refund. It just started 2 days ago. From the time I ordered it until then it was fine. It's been sitting in my studio barely touched for the 2 months I've had it. Who do I contact pioneer or guitar center because this is ridiculous to buy a 600$ piece of equipment and have it short out in less then 2 months with minimal use.
Maybe it will be helpful, i got in touch with the retailer and they fixed the issue under warranty.
