USB drive not giving full capacity?
Hey this isn't specifically about rekordbox but I didn't know where else to ask this question.
So, as we know pioneer products require usb flash drives to be formatted in fat32. I purchased a new 1 TB corsair gtx flash drive so as to be able to have my entire library at hand at all times. However after I formatted the drive using fat32format, windows shows available space only at 440GB.
While this isn't an immediate problem due to the fact that this is still big enough to fit my entire library, it annoys me due to the fact that I paid extra to have a full TB, and yet I only get less than half of that space available to use.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Is there some trick I am not aware of?

The problem is not related to Rekordbox. First of all, you should know if your flash drive supports Fat32 file system.
Technically, for 1 TB, the space remaining after formatting is less or more 950 GB.

How important is it that the allocation unit size is 4 KB?
I checked out the easeus partition tool, unfortunately it costs $40 to actually use it and there is no guarantee that it will work better than the free tool so I'm not going to pay.
Upon further examination, I can actually see 953.87 GB using windows disk management, but then when I simply click on the drive in windows it says 440.01 GB capacity. Perhaps there is a limitation in windows that it can't see the full size of the partition when using fat32. I'm not really sure what the deal is but I will try a different allocation unit and see if that helps.

Well after formatting in 8k allocation unit size, now windows can see the full size of the drive. the only question is.. will this work in the CDJs?
