Problema after plugging pendrive

Folks,

Since the last time my friend plugged his pendrive in my XDJ-XZ, a notice that all musics are hitting the red light in the equalizer even when all buttons seems flat. I discovered that he set to "NONE" the Headroom config inside "Output Level" of "Mixer" settings. In my rekordbox it was set to -9DB. Now, all pendrives from all my DJ friends are with higher volume even in the headphone like a boost and I dont know how to fix it.

Any ideas?

I'm asking because since the beginning of this conversation, you're just no believing what I'm telling. There is no troubleshooting or investigation. The only thing happening here is that you're not believing what I'm telling. So, please, after all the explanation I gave you, that now I see that you understand but is not believing. If after all this work of testing again pendrive, waiting the weekend to my friend (we gonna show you everything... even in other controllers and rekordbox in different system - Windows and MAC). If you confirm that I'm right, what will come next?

If you have some troubleshooting, ok! we can start now. If not, why should I have this effort?

The troubleshooting will be you showing me what you believe to be true; the burden of proof is not on me to say it's NOT happening.

I think you never saw that before, as I didnt, and thats what you're not believing. But I think also that if I have all this effort and show you, you will have no troubleshooting. So everything will be for nothing and I will need to use my warranty.

Ricardo, if you're unable to do the troubleshooting I'm asking you to do (play the exact same file prepared as you described on a different rekordbox, exported to two different USB drives) and show me that there's a difference, I'm unable to help you diagnose the issue.

Should you prefer to send the XZ away for servicing, you can contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired, but that might not be necessary if you can help me help you.

How can I show you the difference if in both pendrives it will reach red? I would need another XDJ-XZ (that I dont have), to show that my XDJ is reaching read much before the others XDJ-XZ

I'm sorry Ricardo, I still don't believe there is a problem with your XZ other than the trim is not being adjusted for the song to be out of the red.

And how you explain my headphone distorting even with low volume (almost nothing)?

Garbage in = garbage out.

The headphones only output what is already playing on that channel. If it's distorting BEFORE you even reach the EQs because the gain is too high, it will be distorted no matter how low the volume on your headphones or master output.

All musics from all pendrives from all my friends are distorting a little on headphone. And only in my XDJ-XZ

While I was talking to you I was changing ALL my XDJ-XZ Settings.
Equalizer Curve was set to Isolator. I just changed it to Equalizer and everything return to normal. Do you know this configuration? Did you mind asking me to check it instead of been doubting and not helping?

I dont know what this config does but it BOOSTS musics on output and on headphone for sure. If you were a good support, you would know that and after all my comments, you would think about it. But you're bad man. Sorry my comments. But you are.

Now I will produce a full video explaining all I passed all this time, with you doubting me, saying that you dont believe my, that I dont know you to use a TRIM, and that you need videos, you cant help without that when its just a basic configuration on on XDJ-XZ menu, that I  shouldnt know, but a Pioneer Support should for sure. I will publish it with ticket link on youtube. Unthank you.

The difference between the options of EQUALIZER and ISOLATOR are only when the EQs are turned to the left; they either change to -26dB or -infinity.

There shouldn't be any changes if the knobs are at zero. I have passed this to our engineering team to investigate.

In either case, yes, your gain is still too high.

Now you're passing to Engineering? After one night of discussion, when you already understood the problem but just dont want to believe me?

I'm facing this problem for weeks... You dindt troubleshoot not even once!

There would be lots of things to investigate. Instead of that you just keep telling my that I dont know using TRIM and that I'm not telling the true, even with evidences like headphone distorting and only my XDJ going red. Take a look in all the ticket and you'll see how much did you failed on investigating the problem. I didnt mentioned that before but I'm IT Support Leader here in brazil and if a level 1 supports worked like you, he will be fired immediately. Unfortunatelly Pioneer accepts guys like you...

Shame on you my friend! Worst support ever!

It's not that I didn't believe you, but rather you were unable to show me anything that supported your claims. It was only the last video showed a difference in levels between modes; with EQ in Equalizer or EQ in Isolator.

As I noted, when the knobs are at the 12 o'clock (zero) position, there should be no affect by the EQ on the levels since they are not adding anything. So yes, I've passed this to our product team for review and we thank you for your patience.
