Hi James,
You need one input device (turntable or CDJ) for each deck.
The PLX-500 is good for mixing on, but the PLX-1000 offers a higher performance build and design, and is more suited for those looking to scratch.
I have a ddj rr and with rekordbox performance. I am looking into the the dvs add-on but have a couple of questions.
1. Can you control both left and right decks with one turntable/cdj or do you need an pair?
2. Is the plx500 any good for mixing on? I made the mistake of selling my 1200 mk5s a couple of years ago, but don't have the budget to replace them like for like as used technics are massively overpriced at the moment for a decent pair so need a viable, decently priced alternative.
Thanks.
