DDJ-FLX4 Questions?? Thanx guys....👍🙏😎🎵🎶🎧

Hi, I'm currently waiting for my DDJ-FLX4 & bought it specifically for the smartphone compatibility update coming up, from Pioneer DJ's Rekordbox DJ mobile, where I dont own a laptop, or computer at all. This is crucial for me to even use the FLX4 period. So, I noticed that it only comes with "1 Type -C cable", and has "2 separate Type-C" connection spaces. Where I'll be only using it with my "LG Stylo 4 smartphone", wich slot is used when connecting to my smartphone?? Also, can you run the DDJ-REV1 off of a smartphone only??Cause I've been a scratch dj for 5 years now, and have gotten pretty dope at scratching lately. And I know that the DDJ-REV1 is made for vinyl lovers, scratch lovers, in mind, & built into a controller for that purpose. And the DDJ-FLX4 is more for learning, and gettn better with mixing, & casual DJing, wich is exactly what I need to work on now honestly, to step up my DJ game, & so that im rugged with both scratching & mixing, as well too! Lol. So, I'm wondering if I ordered the correct unit for my needs, where its mostly built for mixing. Where the DDJ-REV1 is more for my type of style? I had heard that the DDJ-REV1 cant run off a smartphone only, like the DDJ-FLX4 can, once the "Pioneer DJ Rekordbox DJ mobile" update becomes available, for "mobilized djing" on the FLX4. If the DDJ-REV1 "CAN" run off of "ONLY" my smartphone as my computer, like the DDJ-FLX4 will soon, with the Rekordbox DJ mobile DJ option, then I mite have gone with the DDJ-REV1 possibly, to combine my already acquired scratch skills into what else you can do with the REV1 controller. But if it doesn't run only off my smartphone, then I'll definitely stick with the FLX4 beast of a controller, where I need the mobile option available, in order for me to even use the DDJ-FLX4. Thanx guys, Respex, Big Upz, & Mad Love to you guys.....👍🙏😎🎵🎶🎧

With the FLX4, you would connect the USB-C port with the plug icon to a wall adapter. The USB-C port with the computer / tablet goes to your phone (or connect via BT).

No, the REV1 can't be used with a mobile device - computer only.

Yes, you can scratch with the FLX4 and it's competitive with the REV1 for performance ability.
