This isn't really a pioneer problem?
Hey there,
I'm pretty new in this forum. I'm from Holland and play at a lot of underground techhouse/techno party's in and round Amsterdam with my girlfriend on a electric violin.
I wanted to start using traktor pro 2 and bought a new set-up...
Djm2000
xone 1d
sony vaio 2,1 ghz I3
4gb
i'ff been playing a lot @ home with the setup an would like to start playing with it at the party's but sometimes the program freezez on me
I'ff already read in the forum about the xone1d driver problem and bought a powered usb hub to power my xone, with a loos midi cable but its still freezing.....
The strange thing is that its not always doing it i can play for 2 ours without a problem an the other time it freezing after 5 minutes.
I did the windows tuning and i only use my laptop 4 traktor not even a internet connection........
(i use the midi on my djm to)
Can anybody please help me ? i have a 3000 euro setup that i cant use
thnx

This isn't really a pioneer problem?
How do you know that ? And can't you just ask for help here ?
Sorry i didnt mean to sound rude or hostile if thats how i came across...
you have said your program is freezing and its not a pioneer program which makes me think its not a pioneer problem,
As far as im aware other product discussion is not allowed and people here only support pioneer products.
I may be wrong and someone may have the answer you just never know.
Well i think that pioneer creates a product with build in soundcard to make it more accessible to traktor/ableton users, the even put midi functions in it, so i was hoping that maybe other users here use a similar set up and maybe the already found solutions to my problems.
grts,
@Coen, if you uninstall the Pioneer drivers and don't connect the mixer ... and the problem still occurs, the problem is not with the Pioneer products but rather the X1, Traktor or your PC.
When i use the xone without the djm there is no problem, when i use the djm without the xone there is no problem...... :(
When i use the djm alone with traktor it's also freezing so the problem is not the xone but the combination djm + traktor + Sony vaio .
Pleas help me ! :)
@Coen > Are you connecting the DJM-2000 directly to the USB port or via a hub? Have you tried another USB cable?
When you say you tried the windows tuning, Did you check it against latency checker? If you are getting any red bars this is a bad sign and you will still need to tune your laptop. I don't think it is the DJM Soundcard. Might be a traktor issue or even dirty power. If you have one near by use a protective power strip. Make sure your wifi is disabled in Device Manager, Also Power management is disbled in windows Device manager also that is a major culprit in freezes.
@ Pulse: Going to try another cable. This one that I have been using is the cable that pioneer provided.
@Robert: Latency checker says that my computer should be able to run heavy audio divices, and it is in green.
In the device manager i disabled everything that i don't need including the onboard soundcard, dvd drive, ect. ect.
Dirty power ?
Protective power strip ?
Power you get from your wall socket.
here is a referance link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brownout_(electricity
I actually never knew much about electricity but its very interesting to know that electricity can be considered dirty at times. so a power strip with a regulator can filter out low and high spikes so your compter can maintain a constant power influx. Ever notice you get jitters when you plug your laptop up to the wall and unplug it. It's a minor spike and change in current that does that.
