Two months ago there were some interesting developments concerning calibration issues with the DJM-900
and the new Traktor Scratch Pro 2 software.
Issues I witnessed myself when connecting my macbook to a rental DJM-900.

I haven't been following up on this, but can't seem to find any information regarding if the problem has already
been resolved. Pulse promised a solution was coming up.
My question is simple, is there a solution? other then installing the latest drivers for the DJM-900 on my macbook
(which I did). If any DJM related firmware update should be done, where can I find it, so I can advice our tech firm
to do so, so that I can use their DJM-900 in upcoming gigs in two weeks! :-)

@ DJChrisEvans > Pulse beat me to it! ;) The CDJ-2000's use "Advanced HID" mode with Serato because Serato has implemented "Advanced HID" in the software. It is up to NI when they will add "Advanced HID" to Traktor. Unfortunately the HID mode is up to the software team and there is nothing Pioneer can do.

I just bought a DJM900 Nexus and I'm having this problem:
I connect the mixer via USB to the computer (the mixer has latest drivers and the computer too)
Run traktor 2.0 or ableton and try to play any song via USB from the software IN to the mixer.
Every song in both programs plays with a cracking/chriping sound and weird noises from time to time. I know it's not a latency problem.
I'm almost sure it's a hardware or driver issue in the DJM.
The mixer is still in warranty should I give it back??? have it replaced??
What do you recommend? anyone has the same issue?
I'm running Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1
Intel core i7 2.0 (2.9 turbo boost)
8GB Ram 1666ghz
Traktor 2.0 or Ableton Live 8.2

Ok, I tried the mixer connected via USB to another computer I have this time an Intel core 2 duo 2.6ghz running windows 7 professional x64 also using Traktor 2.0 mixer but this time with an older driver for the pc. It worked perfectly.
The thing is if I uninstall the new driver and try to run the old driver it still does the chirping and cracking.
So, does anyone know how can I do a rollback and make the old driver work as it was??

I know it's the new driver doing something because I installed the 1.00 version of the driver first in the other computer, tried it out and worked perfectly. Then I tried to upgrade to the new version 1.303. Did the upgrade and right after that the same chirping and cracking appeared on the other computer that was working perfectly before.
I've tried everything to roll back to the old driver... uninstalled, cleaned registry, cleaned old drivers, EVERYTHING, but now every time I install the Driver Version 1.00 that was working before, it continues to do the same chirping/cracking sound when you play music via USB.
This is frustrating as I don't own the CD players yet and all the music I play comes from USB.
If someone's got the solution on how to ROLLBACK the driver to version 1.00 i would much appreciate it.
Hope to get a response from pioneer too.... I spent a lot of money in this mixer for it not to be working the first day I try to use it.

Also, there is an app for Mac called AppZapper, there are multiple programs like this for windows as well. Find one that has promising results and reviews and try to uninstall it with that as well. But always be sure to try a restart after uninstalling it.

Tought I did... (tried so many things and restarted so many times that I'm not sure what I did now)
The thing is I uninstalled, did a registry clean, deleted old drivers from missing devices that were lying around. Restarted and installed the version 1.000 and now it seems to be working smoothly...
Thank god I didn't want to return the mixer.... wanted it to work.

I just bought DJM900 and set everything to latest version. FW: 1.2.1 , OSX driver 1.210 and Traktor Scratch 2.1.1.
When I setup everything, I was getting problems with calibration.
Than I start to read about it and se that driver has problems, so I played with combinations. I manage to calibrate with following procedure:
When I followed this procedure I was able to calibrate. However when playing for about 20-30 min timecode start falling down, and bpm was not stable anymore, result was also a crapy sound. If I calibrate the timecode again I received a "medium calibration failure".
Timecode also stoped working (loosed calibration) if I did anything on USB ports. With Audio8 I could do virtualy everything, unplug /plug USB devices at any time, even Audio8 could be unpluged and pluged back without any problem.

Are you using vinyl timecode? I had the loose calibration problem as well. Turned out it was a ground issue on one of my turntables. Also, you can't connect both grounds to the same ground screw on the back of the 900. Once everything was grounded properly the loose calibration problem disappeared. Now I have no issue with loose calibration, and the bpm is also stable.
Also, my trick for unknown medium calibration. Stupid trick but works very well. Must cold start MacBook pro, I use DJ B12 startup procedure, doesn't always work. If not I noticed if you go into settings tsp 2, switch the sample rate to 48000 then back to 44100 it'll calibrate your timecode.

Is that a serious question? Lol. I don't typically watch my screen. I'm setup now, it looks as though if it shows 128 it's actually 127 on side A and side B 126 but closer to 125. I ordered the MK2 vinyl, have you used it and is it really that much tighter?
Maybe I should have said "If the light is still off, it's not ON, is it?"

I have a quite deja-vu when it comes to "the next update will solve the issue for sure",
so I really do hope it to be true this time! :-)
Pulse, the lights are on and the BPM's are perfect! LOL. New update works great!! I dropped the needle after loading TPS2 and it calibrated immediately. I also recorded a 15 minute short set with in the Traktor software and that worked perfect too! I'm going to run it for a few hours tomorrow before my gig to make sure it doesn't get glitchy. I won't use it tonight. So far so good!
