No lights & Dodgey output on DJM 600

I have a problem with my DJM 600.

It was working fine until one day i turned on the unit to find that i had no display (lights, effects displays, etc)

I do have sound but it's not how it should be.

Irrespective of what position any selectors are in or which input i use, all the channels play the same audio and if all faders are up the sound is heavily distorted like the signal level is way to high.

It has always been well looked after, never been out the house, never had any spills etc...

Please help me, i have contacted Pioneer service centre but they were so unhelpfull and the money they want just to have a look is crazy, let alone fixing it... if i had the money i would but you know, kids have got to eat!
