DJM 2000 + Ableton No Sound :(

I just got myself a DJM 2000 (happiest day of my life) and I'm trying to get it working with Ableton

I was able to map it to launch clips fine, however I can't seem to get any sound out of it

I have the latest driver (just installed it from the website) and my settings should be fine

Driver Type: ASIO

Audio Device: PIONEER DJM-2000 ASIO

All channels are selecfted in Output

In the MIDI Sync tab, for I have an Input set to DJM-2000

The input had Track, Sync, and Remote all checked to 'On'

I' have sound going out from the DJM 2000 to my speakers, confirmed it's working by generating white noise

It's hooked up to the computer with USB

I should't need any external should I? USB > DJM 2000 > Audio, or am I missing something?

When the tracks are playing in Ableton no sound shows up on the mixer

First, under the preferences, make sure that you have the Audio Device tab set for the output device to be the DJM-2000.  Under Output Config, set only the stereo channel options.  Back in the Live main window, you can either assign the channel strip to send the Audio To the Master or one of the Ext. Out outputs you just added (eg. 3/4).

On the mixer, be sure you have the channel input set to USB at the top of the channel.

Yup, did everything you said there and something or everything seemed to be the fix!

Another question on this - I have a chord going from my speakers that I can either connect to my audio interface or straight to my DJM 2000 - for sound from either one. If I use the audio interface then I don't think I'm able to use the DJM to control it

Is there a way I can go about setting this up so that I won't ever have to switch cables around? This is the audio interface I'm using

To summarise that last comment a bit better, is there a way I can use my DJM 2000 with an audio interface?

Yeah - you can yse ASIO4ALL to create a combo device that allows Live to see both soundcards at the same time, then you could configure the 2000 in its 6/2 mode and route the input through a channel directly back to an output going to the soundcard where the speakers are.

Oh man this sounds confusing haha thanks though

What is 6/2 mode and how do I configure that?

In the DJM-2000 settings utility you can configure the various input/output options (there are 3 choices).
