I know you can set the 900 up to have 2 cdj channels and 2 channels from traktor. Wondered was it the same with the 2000?
I see the 900 is traktor certified, ( does this just mean easy plug and play without messing about with settings?) is this the same with the 2000?

The DJM 2000 is not Traktor certified. This means you can not use the on-board sound card for timecode.
What you CAN do is dedicate (for example) CH1 and CH2 to USB (Traktor). And CH3 and CH4 to your CDJs. This is possible.

Right, you can individually set every channel as an USB input. It works with all 4 channels, or if you need 1 output USB for recording, with channel 1-3! All @ 16 bit.
Or you can choose 3 inputs @ 24 bit.
Thanks for the replies - so what all exactly does traktor certified mean? That u can use cdjs and vinyl decks With only the djm 900 in time code mode without anything extra?
The question is, is there the possibility to control the Traktor decks with the cdj, while they are playing themselves from a usb Device.
Particular controlling 2 sources with one CDJ by switching from Link to USB?
