DJM-2000 Fader Start Question - Save Settings?

I apologize if this has been asked and answered but I searched the forums and didn't find an answer.  My question is this:

I use the Fader Start feature on the DJM-2000 which I set through the utility menu and then select the channels of which I want to activate this feature on (Channels 2 & 3).  I hit save/Exit and everything works great.

The problem is, when I power my gear down for the night the settings seem to get lost.  What I mean by that is, everytime I turn on my equipment I have to manually go into the Utility menu and select the Fader Start option for each channels.  The settings don't seem to be getting saved to memory.  Is this by design?  Am I doing something wrong? It gets kind of annoying to frequently set this option when it's something I use everytime I turn on my equipment.  I'm running the latest firmware which was released in 2011 I believe..  I imagine I must be doing something wrong since no one else seems to have complained about this?

I know I have to save my settings/preferences on my CDJ-2000Nexus devices to a memory stick so I don't have to reconfigure my decks everytime I cycle the power on.  But the DJM-2000 doesn't have a memory card feature as far as I'm aware and if its possible, I'd like to know how to "permanently" keep the fader start option enabled for the same two channels I want them to work on..

Not currently possible but I'll ask if it can be implemented / forward it as a suggestion (if I remember correctly, this went forward as a suggestion before).

Appreciate the honest response Gavin..  I mean, what does it take to get something like this implemented?  It seems like such an obvious feature.  Everytime I power on my equipment I have to go through the trouble of setting the Fader Start settings.  It's not that big of a pain but it's one of those things that if you forget and you're in the middle of a song, BAMN, you look like an idiot when you switch the crossfader over to player B and it doesn't start...  Just my two cents...  Do the engineers even use these things?

A lot of the engineers are DJs themselves although I don't know anyone that uses the fader start function to tell you the truth. Thats not to say we shouldn't pay attention to it - its just that when you don't use a certain function you may overlook slight inconveniences. Implementation is entirely at their  discretion and it would be impossible for me to give you a timeline.

@gavin right on. I need to remind myself that we all use our gear differently. When you use your gear every day it's easy to fall into a routine and stick with what feels natural.. Anyway, thanks for your honesty.. I know engineers are overworked and often underpayed
