DJM T1 issue with new firmware - please help

Hello

ever since I upgraded to firmware 3 i am getting calibration issues on one of the decks. The left deck when spinning the record backwards (cueing backwards) is droppping out and skipping terribly. I notice some other people maybe having calibration issues too?

I am using the deck in midi mode for the new effects - maybe this is whats causing the problem. How do i set the mixer back to not be in midi mode so i can test, and has anyone else seen this issue?

Thanks

Stu

Yeah i saw your post n the NI forums.

Im a bit gutted about this - i only bought the T1 about 3 weeks ago and have been holding off for this update to do  big mix for promo of a new label...and at the moment I have to do it in baby steps because the deck is skipping all the time.

Do you have any idea how to reset the mixer out of midi mode (back to normal operation) - I cant find that info anywere, I have guessed at what it is but not sure its doing it right...

I guess there are problems with this update.

My T1 is also skipping egregiously although I am on firmware v2.

It will start jumping all of a sudden, and sometimes out of the playing song completely. It seems to worsen proportionally for the time the unit is working, so mostly after 3hrs or so.

It happens at random times, completely independent of the time playing on the timecode CD, so it can't be the CD as I can never repeat the skipping by playing the same point in the track.

my mixer ever since i updated it when mixing in internal mode the crossfader wont crossfade all the way even though the t1 fader is all the way over, in the software it only goes about 3/4 of the way in each direction.

IS THERE ANYBODY ON HERE THAT WORKS FOR PIONEER THAT RECOGNISES THAT PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE HAVING DJM T1 PROBLEMS AND ACTUALLY GOING TO COMMENT OR TRY TO HELP US?

i know right they should get a gold star for being so helpful. have you tried going into the DJM_T1 setting utility application and set the inputs correctly i know on my mac sometimes i have to go in there and reset them as they get moved to control cd and i use control vinyl. try that. i hope this helps. and as for setting the mixer back into external mode press and hold utility button for one second.  then press the load b button till the channel 1 led is a -6 then click then with the rotary knob turn it until the leds turn off and that will put it back to external mode. once the lights are off click in the rotary knob to select that setting then press the utility button to exit. then restart the mixer.

once again thanks pioneer staff for all the help hahahaha

The message of the engineers in charge of DJM-T1 is as follows:

.......................................................

The left deck when spinning the record backwards is dropping out and skipping terribly.

I am using the deck in midi mode for the new effects - maybe this is whats causing the problem. How do i set the mixer back to not be in midi mode so i can test, and has anyone else seen this issue?

Questions to Stu Robinson:

・What are his OS version, computer spec and devices connected to DJM-T1

・Does this issue occur only on the left deck or both decks?

・Does he use DVS? Because he mentioned “spinning the record backwards”.

Advice:

Heavy load on the computer could cause audio dropout or clicking and other noise.

How to cope with such situation is described in the knowledge base on the website of Native Instruments.

Windows

http://www.native-instruments.com/knowledge/questions/847/Windows+7+Tuning+Tips+for+Audio+Processing

Mac

http://www.native-instruments.com/knowledge/questions/974/Mac+OS+X+Tuning+Tips+for+Audio+Processing

my mixer ever since i updated it when mixing in internal mode the crossfader wont crossfade all the way even though the t1 fader is all the way over, in the software it only goes about 3/4 of the way in each direction.

Questions to Jorge Nava:

・Does the above issue occur in not only Internal mode but also External mode?

If the issue occurs in the external mode, it could be a hardware problem. Then, he need to have the crossfader serviced or replaced.

@gavin my mixer is working perfectly now. At first I couldn't figure out why it wasn't sending the right midi signal to traktor but all I had to do was calibrate my crossfader how I said to do it on my previous post. I found the how to on the pioneer djm-t1 Service Repair Manual. YouTube Djm-t1 crossfader fix and there is a link on the description to the service manual with a lot of cool information.

Good morning Mates,

I am currently using T1 with A8 for TC due to the issue with the most recent Firmware update. I have tried the instructions provided by Gavin with no success. I have even loaded Traktor on a new, more powerfull computer with almost no applications, same issue. Have any other users been able to get it to work? If yes what did you guys do?

Regards,

PiYo
