DJM-900 stops work and produce only a costant noise

Hi,

i deleted my previous post since i saw that a an update had came out that might address my issue, but now when i search further i see it might not.

Problem -> without no effects in use, no touching faders or else, the mixer just stop output music and start output a constant noise similar to the sound of timecoded CDs. The problem IS the mixer, its only solved by restarting the mixer. The meters still show Music as it should, but both Master and Booth get this high noise. This happened 2 times last set, never happened since i bought it, the first mixer some to Sweden. I updated to 1.260 in begining of Nov.

Gear used; CDJ-2000nexus *2, RMX-1000, HDJ-2000, SDHC.

I will update firmware today to 1.280 before the set, but i hope someone can confirm this issue be part of the firmware update or if i might should try to get the mixer replaced asap...

THX.

Hi, I have had issues with a problem like this on 1 of my channels.

I have had 2 different outcomes but basically the channel stops playing the music being sent to it. I contacted Pioneer as my mixer is only 3 months old and got the number of the service centre I would need to send it to, contacted the centre and was told I would need to send it back to the shop where I purchased it. The guy in the shop said they would test the mixer and IF they found a fault then they would repair/replace, but if NO FAULT was found it would be returned.  I'm praying it does it for them when they have it on the bench, these guys are just testing it in the back shop I would imagine by leaving it lying playing audio. It happened once after a month of owning it then done it twice at a new years party within an hour of each other and then never done it again...

This is what im afraid of, send to service, no fault foumd and back to me.
What really make me frustrated is that i planned to bring my 900 to a gig in Vegas in 3 weeks since i the 800 installed in the club lacks some features.
If i get the same problem this weekend after upgrade i will try to film it and pray Pioneer in Sweden get it replaced, not serviced.

Thx for your comment.

I wish I had filmed the 2 crashes I got at new year but obviously I was more worried about getting the music going again, if mines comes back "no fault found" from the shop I bought it from I think I will need to run it every night at home till i get it to do the same and film it. The thing that bothers me is that I have nothing to gain by sending my mixer away for god knows how long, I have no reason to make a crash up but the authorised service centre, The guys that would be able to check this issue out properly, turned me away. No offence to the guys at the shop I bought it from but I really cant see them checking anything or doing anything that I couldn't do at home. I'm a fully qualified electrician and have some basic electronics qualifications as well, possibly more qualified than the guys in the shop..

Update - no crash last night BUT i got strange signal spikes that made my monitor amplifiers to into protection mode for 10 secs before working again,  the volume level was way lover than they can handle, and needless to say, it has never happened in the 3 years its been installed.
