This rekordbox update has moved over 3000 beat grids miles out!!!!!! Hours of customisation lost in one update. Restoring from back up exactly the same.

plus i checked my grids in cues , also i own a big collection on rekordbox ( 7000+ tracks )
MEP-4000 is supported on 1.5.4
thanx ryan6913
My link is dead.... Weird!
I have a back up HD that holds all my rekordbox info, When i plug this into my master rekordbox collection (1.5.4) all the beat grids on the external drive are also misaligned. When i connect my HD to my laptop running rekordbox (1.5.3) The grids are fine on the external HD. Either way it looks like ill have to start from scratch.
@Tracebuzta > Your link is likely dead because the firewall is not configured for this version of the software to be allowed through. Disabling your firewall should reveal that you're able to link once again. Re-enable your firewall and configure it for the 4 connections (as noted in the Readme thread) and you'll get it working again.
@ryanm > You shouldn't need to start from scratch; simply stick with 1.5.3 for now.
To the rest -- I'm sorry to hear about the problems, there really shouldn't have been any other problems because there weren't any major changes! I'll be in contact with the engineers to try and get this resolved ASAP.
Thanks pulse, I can't seem to find a download link for 1.5.3. Is there one available. Thanks again.
yeah how do we re-download version 1.5.3? the only link on the site is for 1.5.4 and also does going BACk to 1.5.3 mean we can keep all our lost cue points?????
Sorry, I don't have a copy of 1.5.3 kicking around and there doesn't seem to be one on the servers. If you are upgrading via rekordbox, it will ask you if you want to uninstall the old version; say no if you are presented with the option to have multiple versions installed. We will warn you if there's a problem with running two different versions (eg. a change to the database which would render the old software unable to access your data).
As noted, the engineers are aware of the problems and are working to figure out what's going on -- they tested over 50 external drives and had no issues, but that's not to say they've stopped looking!
@Matt > Can you please post your computer details (OS version, etc) and tell me what you were doing right before the crash occurred?
I rushed in a removed the older rekordbox without test running 1.5.4. (lesson learned) knowing this update was only to support mep-4000 I didn't feel there would be much cause for concern. System restoring my computer by a week fixed everything & put me back to 1.5.3.
Wouldn't be a bad idea having links to older versions of rekordbox available.
@ryan > As noted, we're trying to make those available. Glad you were able to get back to 1.5.3 with a restore.
I have the 1.5.3 installer, I dont know if it´s ok with Pioneer, but it´s available from my Dropbox:

Helllllllp!!!!
Just downloaded 1.5.4 version on my Macbook Pro 10.7.3 running Lion and every time I want to open Recordbox it crashes immediately.
Tomorrow is Queesnday in The Netherlands and I urgently need to add new music to my playlists. Does anyone has a 1.5.3 installer for Mac??????
@Jeroen
@hatrik: Thanx, will try!
Thanks guys.
@ Pulse - apologies for the duplicate postings.
Update: thanks Trace for posting the 1.5.3. installer, tunes are back to normal with that version (after another re-analysis of the entire collection). Will hold off any updates now until it's sorted.
Even though using 1.5.3. now again, it keeps crashing :(
<Please keep the content family-friendly.>
@Jeroen > Try following the instructions here to load your backup database.
I was still not able to fix the issue. Even though using 1.5.3., it still keeps on crashing.
Anyone any ideas how to solve this problem without loosing my playlists?
I have the same problem Jeroen his having.
Please fix it fast.
Ok, i foolishly didn't read anything and upgraded to 1.5.4. I thought some stuff was off and then reanalysed my whole database. so 3000+ tracks with cue marks. It seems all the beat grids are off now even though i go through each track and then cue them.
No point crying over spilt milk and, dare i say my fault. I should have read the problems. Having said that, i assumed the upgrade would be fine.
Any idea if this problem will be fixed or will i have to go through each track again and manually correct the grids? thanks...
@cjb001 > As previously stated, the engineers are working on it.
Have you reverted to 1.5.3?
@Jeroen > If it's still crashing on load, have you tried copying your database file out and completely wiping out the hidden Pioneer folder then reinstalling?
pulse - i d/l the previous version, however, all the tracks are still "out". i will hold fire doing anything until you write back.
