DDJ-T1 ( Virtual DJ vs Traktor ) Problems

Dear Sir,

I have 2 or maybe 3 problems with DDJ, hope you can help me to find the solutions.

1st: i am DJ in Middle East that's means I use to play Arabic Songs, in this case the Traktor software cannot understand the Arabic Fonts, because it's written from Right to Left side & it's not a separated characters.

So I sent this problem to the NATIVE INSTRUMENTS company, they post a Bug in their bugtracker and they give me the reference Code which is :

  Traktor Pro 2

   TP-4839

   arabic text not displayed correctly

So please if you can take care of this bug, thank you in advance.

2nd:  I am using Virtual DJ software for long time, and I don't have any problem with the arabic fonts in it, that's why i tried to mapping my DDJ T1 with the Virtual DJ in a MIDI Simple mapper and it's 60% working but i am facing a big problem with the (Needle Search, Jog Wheel & the most problem the LEDs)

I will Attach the Mapper maybe you can find solutions

Thank you so much Pioneer Support Team

Regards

@WaliD > Unfortunately the first problem is something that only NI can fix for you.  You'll have to wait for them to address that concern within their software.

As for the mapping, Pioneer doesn't officially support the DDJ-T1 under VDJ, but I would suggest you pop over to the VDJ forums and look for the user *cstoll *- he's their computer guru and has already done some serious grunt-work in mapping out the majority of the DDJ-T1 to VDJ.  He might have a map available on their site.

Hi,

I go by the name "synthet1c" on the VDJ & djtechtools forum..

I am having a lot of trouble discovering the jog led messages, however, I have successfully mapped every other control including the jogs, touchstrips, every led/button/slider/knob.

So far I have sent every midi note and CC from channels 0 - 6 as that is what all the other controls are on but have not been able to control the jog LED's.

I am prepared to make a HID mapper if I need to but will need to exact location of all the leds so I can map it.

Once completed I am happy to share the mapper on the pioneer forum but really need to have the jog leds so I can incorporate jog fx like the CDJ400 and have feedback from the software regarding the position of the effect sliders. Currently I have a ;filter and delay out; ping pong delay; pitch roll; gate echo. all triggered by the shifted hot cue buttons, as well as some incredibly fun things with the touchstrip utilising multiple effects triggering at different locations of the touchstrip, think "glitch".

I have contacted Pioneer Support (Australia) in regard to this matter however have been waiting for a reply for 5 days. I have also contacted Virtual DJ support and they have not got the locations of the jog LED's. Unfortunately I will not have access to the controller after this weekend so need an answer asap.

Regards,

Andrew "synthet1c"

I should add, that unfortunately the deejay mapper was not much help as it doesn't appear to be mapped.

There are new VirtualDJ mappers for the DDJ-T1 with pretty good support for the controller. Visit the VDJ site.
