DDJ T1 NOT BEING DETECTED BY MY COMPUTER .

WHEN I PLUG N MY DDJ IT TURNS ON WITH ALL OF THE LIGHTS . BUT IT DOES NOT SEND A MIDI SIGNAL IDK WHAT TO DO AND I HAVE A GIG PRETTY SOON PLEASE HELP .

It might not be working because you have your CAPS LOCK enabled!  Try turning that off first.  ;)

Now that you've got the CAPS disabled, what software are you running and what is the operating system on your computer?

I turned off the CAPS LOCK and it didn't do it . im not sure what the problem is i plug it in and everything turns on but my computer doesn't recognize it . 

I'm running Traktor Pro 2

And my OS is OS X leapard

The caps part was a joke -- it was meant to get you to not post all in CAP LETTERS.  ;)

First, check that your DC adapter is connected and powering the unit.  While the controller can be powered by USB, we recommend that you also use the external power supply.

Okay, running OS X Leopard > go to the Applications > Utilities and find the Audio MIDI Setup program.  Go to Window > Show MIDI Window.  See if you can find the DDJ-T1 on the list.  If it is not, try changing the USB cable.  If it IS on the list, it should certainly be working properly.

Go to this website and download the MIDI monitor application.  Check that the DDJ-T1 appears on the Sources list and then try moving controls / pressing buttons on the T1 and see if they show up on the monitor list.
