DDJ-S1 Deck 2 FX Not Working

so i got my ddj-s1 brand new and since installing itch 2.2 my fx on my deck 1 work perfectly fine like normal but for some reason my fx on deck dont work at all. i cant change effects depth on it at all. it shows the depth changing rapidly between 19-21% the whole time even though the effects nob isnt moving. just wondering if its a hardware problem or something in itch thats not allowing me to use the 2nd fx channel. or maybe its an option i havnt selected?

What's the operating system you're running?

Did you have the S1 connected when you installed the softwre?

Have you tried another USB port / a different USB cable?

@Shawn > No, no, no! Pulse was asking if you had the S1 connected when you installed the software because that's exactly what you are not supposed to do.

Please try a different USB port / cable as Pulse suggests. It might also be worthwhile uninstalling and then re-installing Itch.

Have you all the drivers and itch version up to date? http://pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?lang=en&p=DDJ-S1&t=70

it's still not working. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything without the s1 plugged in. the cable seems to be working the same. I havnt had time for the drivers yet. I'll check when I get home. if the drivers don't fix this issue what would be the next step

No - You NEED to have the S1 connected when installing the software!

Do you have another computer you can try to eliminate the software or the hardware as being the problem?

so i finally got everything installed on another computer and the same thing happens. im starting to think the controller itself just isn't working properly

Without Itch running, can you run either MIDI Monitor (OSX) or MIDI-OX (Windows), to verify whether or not signal is being received by the computer?

its showing that its receiving a signal from the controller. from left to right it shows...

Time: 17:37.51 (and it keeps updating rapidly

Source: From Pioneer DDJ-S1

Message: Control

Chan: 4

Data Controller 3 (with the rapid updates it's going from the number 18 to 20)

so i played with the MIDI monitor more and figured out how it works and ive tried every single button on my controller and they all work except the right FX channel select, effect select, parameter, level/depth. all other buttons are working perfectly fine so it has to be something with the controller correct?

Correct - that pretty much wraps up the troubleshooting -- it's the unit causing problems.  Sorry!  You'll have to contact Pioneer technical support via the links at the right to have it serviced (or if you're within 30 days, you may try your retailer for a replacement).
