[SOLVED] DDJ ERGO problem with soundcard

hi, i have installed all that's necessary to run the ergo but it does not play sound when i have the sound settings set on asio. I have watched youtube videos that show exactly what settings to use but still won't work. The PC i'm using is a hp touchsmart which has windows 7 installed. I've tried everything like restarting the computer, taking everything out of other USB slots and i have even re-installed everything but still doesn't play and when i open Virtual DJ it pops up with a message saying sound card is not connected or settings are wrong with an error DirectX/WDM, please help ??

It should work no problems with ASIO, and provided you have the drivers installed and the settings as per this video. Did you check via the Pioneer ASIO utility that the settings are correct?

I can't get the speakers and headphones to work at the same time as I put settings on ASIO is saying I have an error in soundcard... What could I do to fix it??

I am having exactly the same problem and apparently it has gone back to Pioneer Europe (via my supplier) for a fix. 2 weeks have now passed and nothing. Pioneer - please help.. Soundcard on laptop is Realtek which doesn't work but it seems to be stopping ASIO working when using ASIO4ALL - the apparent fix??

@Paul > After installing and running ASIO4ALL, have you tried restarting your computer and then trying to connect the controller?

exactly the same issue over here. i think it must be a realtek audio issue. had the ERGO since day one of release and never got it working on my windows 7 laptop. works fine on the missus macbook but today the little one smashed the screen thus leaving that inoperable. any fix or work around would be greatly appreciated

everytime I start up vdj, it says: soundcard probably not connected, or the settings are wrong. I can't do anything. What can I do?

Same problem here. No sound coming out at all although the computer recognises the ergo-v as the soundcard. It seems to be playing sound but it doesn't. i also get the same message about the driver etc...

If you update to the latest version of Virtual DJ and have the latest Pioneer ASIO drivers installed, you shouldn't have this issue.
