Will a DDJ-SX purchased in the USA work in the UK?

If I buy a ddj-sx in the USA will it work in the UK or will I have to buy power adaptor?

If you download the product sheet it says:

Supplied AC Adapter ........................................................................ Power source AC 100V 50/60 Hz, rated output DC5 V

I’m pretty sure you have a 230V power outlet, so it will only work for about half a second before blowing up.

In other words: You'll need another power adaptor.

@Paul Carey > If you live in the UK and buy a unit from the USA, the warranty is ONLY valid in the USA - it will not be valid in the UK.

USA works on 110v / UK works on 220v.

Silly really. If its a pioneer unit, bought from a pioneer dealer and you have a receipt, the warranty should be valid. Can't see it being a problem. All be it needing a different power feed (maplins) it's the same unit. I buy some of my apple products in the USA and the warranty is honoured worldwide.

Just to be clear so there's no confusion, Pioneer warranties are only valid in the region of purchase.

Stupid really. It's the same unit, only a different power supply. And anyway, I just looked at my one, and the power supply lead says it will accept 100-240v. The USA ones are prob the same. Mines a uk unit from a pioneer dealer and it came with a 2 pin plug (that's right, a non uk plug). It had a pioneer adaptor (something you can buy similar from maplins) in the bag. In my opinion, like other big company's do, pioneer should offer warranty world wide. What if your abroad on a gig with your controller and it needs a quick repair that a shop could turn around quick? You gotta fly home? ;-p
