complain about delayed delivery ddj-sx

I cannot speak about the situation in the Netherlands but my situation in Canada is similar. I ordered one of these units at the beginning of February and have not received mine yet either. After talking to the company that I ordered from I  was told my unit would be shipped towards the end of March once they received their shipment from pioneer. These units are on back order everywhere lol. I was also told that my unit would be of the second production run from pioneer. 

Thanks for the info. That seems from revenue perspective that pioneer must fire up the production capacity. Hopefully they will because else i will go for a native instruments controller which can be delivered within 24 hours.

I understand what you are saying but I think it boils down to marketing. Pioneer underestimated how well these units were going to sell. They actracted the bedroom dj who either grew out of his /her introductory controller or who has never bought a controller before. They also attracted the semi pro/pro businessman who doesn't want to lug cdj's/turntables with a mixer around anymore. Add to that, a fair price for what you're getting and you have a controller that can't be easily found anywhere in the world lol.

I think you are right. That's why i target the ddjsx also. So we will see what's going to happen but a little bit more info from pioneer is appreciated (-: ....

Hello i am still waiting from 08.January.2013.

I am from Croatia, i dont know where to complain..

I can"t belive that some stores have in stock when peoples on preorders wait from December 2012.

I have ordered mine on the 8th of February and still waiting. I'm in the UK. It was going to be last week, than this week and yesterday was told about an additional slight delay due to Pioneer finding something during a quality check!

On one hand I'm glad that they actually check the units carefully but I'm not convinced if this is just an excuse for an extra delay and they are bullshiting the UK shop and me or this is really true!

I'm really dissapointed that non of the Moderators of the forum could give some official Pioneer update of that case!

I'm still waiting too, but after hearing what Kubitsk said, I'm getting on the phone with the company I ordered from to see if there are any additional delays. I'll post back when I get an answer over here in Canada.   

I just got off the phone with the company I ordered from in Canada.

As far as they know, there are no other scheduled delays.  I'm still on schedule to get mine around March 22.  (Hopefully the information they were given is accurate.) I was told however, that Pioneer is selling these units to smaller stores/companies for more money than to the larger comapnies who buy more inventory who have people wainting for them.  These smaller stores/companies are then selling the sx units for more money to customers who are willing to pay more.  If this is the case, it could also be contributing to delays. 

Viking, I have ordered from probably 2nd biggest internet store in the UK. They have the same prices as the biggest one. On Monday I was told I'm 2nd in the waiting queue. From the last week I was beeing told "it will take a few days more". I was beeing told last Thursday that on Monday they were going to receive a big delivery and Pioneer only sent them a few units - less than promissed.

They do not read the thread which only complain about delivery. I have always been, and I've used Pioneer products (from CDJ 500IIs/DJM 5/6/800 EFX 500/1000 or HDJ) but it is time for change There are many other companies which produce controllers for Serato/Traktor software. I'm waiting from 15 Dec 2012. The only thing I found out is that "delivery is delayed but in March everything will be normal" - as it was written on facebook Pioneer. In Poland, this large supply of SX look that: The regional distributor from I bought DDJSX got .... literally three pieces DDJ SX. Therefore they do require more than 20 DDJ SX. Personally I am most pissed off no response from the Pioneer. A sufficient just write "that the controller is corrected / detected errors / there are other problems/ that production is temporarily suspended??" - I have been waiting three months for the moment I'm totally disappointed at this point, really wait a few more days and time for a change there are many other manufacturers of controllers, it is no longer the times where CDJ 1000 were Standart in each club. Nice promo videos no longer enough.

I think they read most of the threads but are selective as to which topics they want to get involved in.  Let's be serious for a moment.  The moderators are not going to "diss" their own product. However, I agree that waiting 3 months for an item in this day and age is borderline ridiculous.  I still believe there are alot of factors involved here. Poor knowledge of understanding who their target customers are, a limited supply and some assumed design/workmanship flaws have slowed down production. Unfortunately,  we are the ones that suffer. I just hope that when I finally get mine, my mic doesn't distort under proper usage. The new firmware update was supposed to help address that matter but the guys over at the serato forum say it hasn't improved much. In reality, the serato forum might have more accurate information. 

To all of us still waiting, fhe situation in Canada is not getting better. I just got off the phone with the company that I purchased the unit from and was told it will we another 2 to 3 weeks to fill the older back orders which includes my order. Not good lol.

So we still w8. I look forward to the end of March Then I change the order of NS6 + Akai LPK8 hree and a half months of waiting is far too much :/

I agree. It is too long but maybe we live in the wrong countries. If you check Amazon. com and search for the ddj sx you will notice that they have them available by more than one company/store. The inventory changes daily but there is always a ddj sx available. 

Still no sign of mine!

Ordered on the 8th of February (UK) over 6 weeks have passed and every time l was being told "it will be a few more days", "it will be next week", "the quantity we will get should cover all the orders". I have asked the shop for an update a few hours ago and no news so far.

Well, so far I haven't seen it and I'm really pissed off! I have sold mine XDJ-AERO 2 months ago and since then could DJ.

Just received mine this evening! The DDJ-SX is a sexy beast of a controller!

I have been waiting since 15/01/2013, although I heard there was a Customs issue that delayed the latest batch being delivered to UK.

So far have no complaints (seen several you-tube horror videos of faulty units). Now just going to take a bit of getting used to Serato

What software were you using before? I'm not sure about Traktor but I know there are mappers for use with virtual dj.

• I was using rekordbox with cdj's. I couldn't justify having £5k of decks sat in my spare bedroom, when my car was falling to bits outside. DDJ-SX is the replacement for my previous set up.
• I can't give you a view about Traktor & VDJ integration as I have neither bit's of software. I don't think downloading the trial software for either and unofficial mappers would improve the experience of using the DDJ-SX. However from the brief playing around with the controller & software last night, Serato hasn't done a bad job of beat gridding most of my tracks. Not to say it was perfect on every track as rekordbox struggled also. 
• I guess my current gripes are having to redo all my loops and hot-cues that are currently stored in rekordbox and also that I have to keep moving my laptop between desk and deck stand.

Thanks for the reactions. Clearly i am not the only one waiting. The reseller updated the delivery with week 15 (8 april - 14 april). So keep my fingers crossed....

Finally the DDJ-SX has arrived, two weeks earlier then expected. I must say, It was worth waiting!
