Hi,
Can anyone tell me the exact UK release date for the Wego 2 please? All I know is that it is supposed to be October.
Cheers

I've contacted many retailers and all they can tell me is sometime in October :( The juno website says 14th Oct for the Black & White one and 21st Oct for the Red one. The 14th has gone and they ain't got any. If I knew the exact date then I can plan when to travel into a store, trial it and then maybe purchase it.
I don't have an ipad and don't intend getting one as you can't upgrade the memory in them (I don't think?) Can I use my laptop with it and also the speakers from it? I do a lot of travelling and want it for on the road but I don't want to be carrying loads of stuff like monitors, conversion boxes etc...
@Matt > Oh, thats a shame - I had assumed they were hitting stores right now. Let me find out more for you as best I can.
No, iPads are not upgradeable. Yes, you can certainly connect your laptop to the WeGO and use with your software of choice.
Are the only tablets applicable iPads? If there are cheaper tablet alternatives on the market with upgradable memories that could be used with the wego means the money saved not buying an iPad could be used to buy more pioneer gear! Just a thought ;)
@Matt > djay is an iOS only application so yes, only iPads will work. Unfortunately, we've no control over the direction of iPad development.
As for hitting the shelves, I've been told it should be towards the very end of October.
@Gavin > I think there is a Virtual DJ android app? If I could find a cheap tablet with an external memory port (I dont know much about the tablets but I'm assuming you can get these?) and can get Virtual DJ on it, would this be compatible with the Pioneer Wego 2?
With an external memory port I could easily upgrade to fit many mp3's on without paying the extortionate price for a high memory ipad.
This will be one of the factors to me buying a Wego 2 when they are released.
There is a Virtual DJ App that controls VDJ, not one you connect to a unit directly.
Hmmm confused now. In summary, if I was to buy a Windows tablet or an Android tablet, would it be compatible with the Pioneer Wego 2?
The reason for me wanting to go this way is so I can plug an external 500GB HDD into the tablet for more access to MP3s. iPad only has 128Gb and is too expensive.
A Windows laptop will work with the WeGO, an Android or Windows tablet will not.
