[SOLVED] Remix station 500 to DDJ-SB connection?

Hello,

In Remix station 500 there is mentioned that Remix station 500 input is for dj controller's master output and output is for speaker's input. However, I can't get these working on same time. What cables do I need or do I need separate mixer to get both working? Or do I need different controller with more than just one master output to get the remix station working. All cables are working and volumes are correct.

You can send the master signal to the 500 and then to your speakers/amps and it should work, how do you have the whole things wired?

Hello, I have master out from DDJ-SB going to RMX 500's master input and RMX 500's master output going to powered speaker (TDK Soundcube). All connections with RCA's. So all connections have been made as in RMX 500'S manual. However in DDJ-SB's manual it has been said that the masteroutput is only for speaker?

Can you tell correct connections so I can get these working or do I need another controller or maybe some cheap mixer where to connect both RMX 500 and DDJ-SB ??

That's the ONLY option you have for connecting the SB with an RMX-500, and you do not require an additional mixer or any other devices to get the output from the SB to be processed by the RMX. I'm guessing you might not have the input / output levels configured properly on the RMX.

Hello, After making all these connections, There is no light in RMX 500's in and out light indicators while music is playing from DDJ-SB, also no music can't be heard from speaker. The green light in RMX 500's "OUT" light indicator turns to green when pressing it's buttons but no sound can't be heard either. And all connections have been made as in Remix 500's manual. So can your technical stuff try using DDJ-SB with RMX 500 and give instructions what I need to do to hear the RMX 500'S effects same time as the music in DDJ-SB from powered speaker..I have done the best I can.

Is the switch on the side set to -10, 0 or +4?

Another question -- do you have the USB connected for the RMX?

Hello, yes the USB is coonected and switch is on 0db as in RMX 500's manual. Maybe it isn't supposed to work with DDJ-SB?

Disconnect the USB, then turn the unit off and back on --it is not designed to be used as a controller AND as an effects unit simultaneously.

Hello, I tried now that and still it doesn't work. Only the "Out" indicator is lit and 120 bpm flashes, no sound coming from DDJ-SB through speaker and effects unit.

Please give me instructons how to use RMX 500 as effects unit with DDJ-SB so I can hear all the sounds. I have all necessary RCA cables but still can't seem to find an answer for this.

Connect your SB to the computer by USB.

Connect the SB master output to the RMX input by RCA.

Connect the RMX output to your speakers.

Play a track on your SB and make sure your output audio levels are decent (channel fader open full, master turned to about 2 o'clock).

You should see the "IN" LED on the RMX blinking to indicate signal.
