Did you unzip the contents of the download and put them at the root level of the USB drive? You can safely power-off the R1 and try again.

Latest XDJR1 firmware update - 1.12 problems
Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere but I have just downloaded the latest firmware update and am trying to install onto the system but the screen is stuck on 'download' and has been for a good hour or more now. Is this common? I haven't updated for a while so I'm thinking that this may be the problem but I am getting a little worried now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for replying. Yes, the update is in the root folder. I've just deleted it and tried an earlier firmware version (I'm moving from 1.08 - not used the unit for a while) but that's the same. Recently formatted the usb and is recognised in Rekordbox so I don't think it's that either. Frustrating to say the least!

Did you unzip it? You should see the xdj_0112.bin file at the root.

I have the same problem! I try to update the firmware (from 1.07 to 1.12) but when i insert the USB stick it does not work! The screen is stuck on 'download', i tried with different usb memory devices and i have the same problem. In fact, when i try to use the xdj r1 in usb mode the screen shows "unsupported device". Thanks in advance!

If you have downloaded the file with Safari, please try using another browser (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc) and then unzip the file and place it on your USB device.
