[SOLVED] DVS playing reverse on the DDJ SZ
Hi everyone,
Just been messing around on my recently purchased DDJ SZ. Anyhow I’ve ironed out a few teething problems and now I’m having a few issues with the DVS.
I have followed the instructions fully in setting up the DVS via Control Vinyl on the DDJ SZ, but the music player just plays in reverse no matter how I mess around with the settings. The censor button is flashing on the DDJ SZ, put when I press the button it still stays on. When I hold down the button the music plays correctly. As soon as I depress the censor button again it just plays in reverse.
There just seem to be no way too keep the DVS in playing in reverse or stopping the censor button on the DDJ SZ from flashing.... Any suggestions?

Yes I've tried that, Just a quick question it the latest Rane Control Vinyl 2.5 the correct Control Vinyl to use. I was on the assumption it didn't matter?

I'm not 100% sure of that as I don't typically use vinyl on external control.
You may have accidentally engaged it with your keyboard - try pressing Q or A to get it to reverse. After that, go into your settings and change the preference for "Playback Keys Require Shift."

switch the RCA cables that are plugged in from the TT to your controller, if red is to red and white is to white, then maybe red to white and white to red. Sounds like there may be faulty RCA cables or you have them plugged in backwards. Sometimes if the headship is wired wrong then serato thinks the wires are reversed

Wow! Amazingly that worked.... Everything was wired up correctly, Red To Red, White To White, etc. But switching around the cables Red to White, White to Red everything now works fine.... i.e. the platter in Serato spinning the correct way. Was not expecting that, I was expecting some sort of complicated Drive issue or something.

I though they had addressed that within the sotware to detect reverse-audio...!
