DDJ-SB Computer sounds

I want to know if it is possible to input the sound from my laptop into the DDJ-SB then output it from the DDJ-SB to my speakers?  If there is a way can you explain to me how to do that? P.S. Thanks.

Do you mean to output the default system audio? You can do that by selecting the SB as the primary audio device within your system's audio preferences; Mac and Windows each have the ability to do this.

Be aware that you may not be able to have the SB set as the primary device AND run a DJ application at the same time as typically only one application can manage the audio device at at time.

Is it possible to do with the usb cord that comes with the DDJ-SB?

The USB cable must be connected in order for the device to act as an audio interface for your computer.

Per above, if you want to have the computer sounds AND your DJ app output at the same time, it won't work.

Can you take a screenshot of your system audio settings?

Just to confirm, the audio from the system currently goes through the SB, but the games and browser audio are not coming out at all? Or are they going through the system speakers?

You may also need to define the SB as the primary communication device (not just audio device). Let me know if that helps - if not, there may still be a couple of other things to try.

When the SB is plugged in only default systems sounds come through my speakers, like when i plug in a usb or something, but no game sounds or browser sounds comes through and setting it as the default communication device did not change anything.

Some applications have priority settings within to manually assign themselves to specific audio devices, but typically not browsers.

When you have the browser playing a video, does the audio come through the system sound card? You should be able to see the levels bouncing around on the meter within the sound preferences panel (same place you took the earlier screen shot).

No when a video is playing the bar doesn't move but if i right click Line and hit test it moves and the sounds come out of the speakers.

I'm certain this is just a matter of configuring it properly. Unfortunately I have neither an SB nor Windows running here to be able to test it and tell you exactly what you need to do. If you want, I could email you and arrange a remote session to see if it's something I can help resolve in a few minutes rather than additional back-and-forth messages.
