@Thies > Could you please check the firmware version / update your SX2 to the latest firmware (even if you have the current version, re-flash it)? Download and instructions are available here.
Today my DDJ SX 2 arrived and I installed everything like its described in the manual, but after some minutes the controller just froze. Music was still playing and I could work with Serato, but the controller just didn't respond. As the freeze remained I had to restart the controller, but it didn't start. After a few tries it started again but had the same freeze after a longer period.
Setup:
Macbook Air (early 2014), i3, 250 GB SSD
Pioneer DDJ SX 2
Speaker
I already installed the newest Serato, firmware and tried the setup on a different computer. Still the same problems.
Thanks for any response already.

Didn't do that yet, but I just flashed the Firmware yesterday evening?
Somehow now the DDJ SX 2 didn't freeze like for 4 hours and I could play without any interruption. The only thing I changed was the speaker setup: before I used a 600 W amplifier and speakers. Now, that I use my 5.1 Logitech system it works fine. Could it be that the problem was with the amplifier?
No harm in checking that it tool - the update tool will show which version is installed.
The output shouldn't affect it unless there is a problem with the amplifier possibly sending a back-voltage through the cabling or maybe a short in the wire? I would test it without any cables connected and see how long it will play (if you just set Serato DJ to do continuous mode). If there are no adverse affects, repeat the test with the same setup you previously had it freeze and if you do find it freezes, perhaps try the same setup with a different set of cables.
