DDJ LOOP GOES OFF BEAT

I have tried calling every number I could find for customer service and no one answers. I am experiencing a problem with my DDJ SX, that while it loops, it slowly goes off beat. Any idea of a fix? Also can you provide me a working customer service number for me to contact. I live in Canada. Thanks.

@Matt > If you're using Serato and the loops are going off-beat, the problem is likely that you haven't set your beat grids for that track properly. There are a multitude of videos online for how to use Serato DJ to set and adjust beat grids.

Regarding the numbers, you can find the Canadian contact info here.

Everytime the loop goes around it it moves a tiny pinch off. Progressively getting more off beat. I have used both those numbers and the one hangs up on me while on hold, the other takes me to an extension that has a full mailbox. Like iv said iv tried even other options only for no one to answer.

My track looks analyzed properly. the pads are perfectly matching with the beats as well.

From my experience as a Serato DJ user, I can tell you if your beat goes out of sync in Serato, it's a 99% chance of it being due to your beat grid not being accurate.

As for the number, I'll pass along the comment that there is no answer, but chances are they wouldn't be able to help you with this issue anyhow. In all likelihood, they'd direct you here!

Can you please explain how id fix the beat grid?

in my ddj i hit a pad and it auto loops 4 or 8 beats or even more if i wanted.. so when i hit autoloop for those 8 bars. I dont get why it would move on its own. the bpms are synced as well.

The looping is based entirely on that grid. If the grid is wrong, the loop is wrong.

If i bring up an 8 beat loop though on the fly.. I dont get why that would go off beat each time around if the bpm and and kicks are matched though. Like I'm physically using the jog wheel to tune it back into place as it goes off. My beat grid looks fine when the song is not playing.. Kicks are on point.

The endpoint of the loop is off - meaning the loop is either too long or too short, based on the BPM info. Adjust your grid and you should be fine.

How can that be though... If I hit a beat pad that is supposed to auto loop 8 beats .. and the bpm is matched and kicks.. it makes zero sense to me. Its not like im using In and out and making my own loop.

To be honest I really cant stand typing and using these forums either, its getting really annoying that I cant talk to someone on the phone. I call the first number and click option 2 for the customer service call center only for it to ring then say Im being transfered to some extension and I can leave a message but the mailbox is full. When I call the your customer call center directly from the other number gives me all these other numbers that dont work when the call them... or says stay on the line only to hangup on me every time. Can you please give me a specific extension so I can speak with someone directly.

@Matt > The loop is 8 beats - based on the grid. The BPM is based on the grid. If the grid is wrong, the 8 beat loop is wrong and thus a bit too long or short, so when it comes around the 2nd pass, the audio is out of time with the other track. All it takes is the shortest of milliseconds for the grid to be out for it to be audibly out of sync.

As for the phone support - I don't work for Pioneer; I'm an outside contractor. I don't have specific extension numbers for you. And as I previously said, I sincerely doubt anyone at Pioneer's tech support would have nearly the experience I do to be able to answer the question as specifically as I have.

Watch the video I linked above, adjust your beat grid and give it a try. I honestly believe that's where the problem is. If you've done that and feel I'm wrong, make a video for me to see what's going on.
