ddj sz upper fx's wont work

With my ddj s1 when using echo, the echo would stay on the channel even when the channel volume is down. This way I could echo out of a song. Why wont this happen with the echo when using the upper fx on the DDJ sz?

1) Do you have the FX assigned to that channel?

2) Have you made sure your parameters for the echo are set properly to a level that would affect the audio?

They are asigned to a channel and the perameters havent changed between my DDJ-s1 and my DDJ-SZ.

Once the channel is closed the echo effect ends. I want the echo out effect withouth having to use the echo brake effect. Even if I use the color effect echo it also ends once the channel is closed. I can not use it to echo out of a song either.

I have been able to do this with every piece of equipment except my ddj-sz

I agree, and it's been mentioned as possible update down the road.

Unfortunately, any FX on Serato DJ or other DJ applications are pre fader, which means when you lowered the channel volume, the effect will not remain heard. As DDJ-SZ uses external mixing mode, instead of internal mode for SX and most of other controllers, you can control the Sound Color FX on SZ separately in each channel even when using CDJ or turntable with SZ as a real mixer. This is a unique feature and specification of DDJ-SZ, which is totally different from DDJ-S1, SX and other controllers.

You should use the Echo in Sound Color FX on SZ if you want the echo to stay on the channel even when the channel volume is down.

Pioneer people. There is a large lack of professionality. I play EDM and RnB and the most used combo effect worldwide is FILTER and ECHO wich everybody cuts lowering the fader!  You recommend to use the echo on sound color FX but the tail is too short!!! For a professional dj who was used to have the channel filter and di echo post fader it's a real mess! On DJM900 it's like that, on the SX it's like that. The SZ it's a mess. We are to used to lower the fader because it's easy, fast, simple.. You made thing so difficult. I played tonight for 4 hours and I made 6 mistakes lowering faders and cutting the tail of the echo instead of pressing CUE-STOP  because it's far from the center of the SZ! Please, do some research and give us the possibility of same real and useful work-around. Even if we need to send our controller to your technical  service!!!!
