The RX is not designed for HID interfacing with software - the intention and purpose of the unit is for stand-alone operation without the need for a computer. But the engineers acknowledge that users aren't going to fully give up their computers, so the RX is still MIDI compatible, but not HID compatible. So yes, it will work with VDJ, but it won't be as responsive as an HID controller (which has lower latency, better signal resolution and can support bi-directional communication for things like LED illumination or screen-drawing.)
