XDJ RX feature suggestions

Hey @Laszlo, the RX does allow for sorting by key, you just need to add the sort options by adding them via rekordbox:

Connect your export USB device, click on its icon on the left of the screen, and then click the SORT tab. Add the fields you want from the left by clicking it, then clicking the -> icon.

If you are using something to tag your files with the key, you can use the COMMENTS or KEY fields for that purpose.

The key is customizable - you could label it "ZZ" if you wanted.

I see you point Pulse. I can type anything yes, but key category on xdj rx, has original key options. See attached pic.

Which is really unnecessary for me ( and 90% of the underground djs). I would really love a rekordbox/xdjrx  feature to filter that list to show only minor keys or make it costumizable. :)

To mass-edit tracks, select the batch you want to change, then edit one of them in the info panel (right side) and the rest will also change when you press enter.

It is not the case unfortunatelly. However for example tunes which are labelled  A#m are shown in Bbm category. But there is no A#m category in the list.

It not a serious thing actually, but it would makes things easier.

Thanks - without an RX here to confirm, that was a bit of a speculation. ;)

I'm sure there's a "standard" that the engineers used in order to decide which keys are used / shown, I know they're currently reviewing other potential options (such as allowing open-notation or Camelot key notation) and hopefully that will be something they address in a future update.

Hope it's the right place. I've got few propositions for new feature or corrections.

• Play lock but I think it's yet planned.

• Functionnal preference save on USB key. It's proposed on rekordbox to save but don't seem to be load on the RX when the USB key is plugged.

• Hot Cue Loaded automatically on the RX. Hot cue saved on Rekordbox will be automatically loaded on the RX without having to push on recall & associated pad. It's shown on Rekordbox/Preference/CDJ/HotCue but not functionnal.

It would be perfect !!!

@Sylvain > Lock active deck is planned for a future update. The preferences stored to USB key will only work with CDJs, not the RX. There is a limitation as to when hot cues load automatically, depending on what method is used to load the track (eg. a search will not auto-load hot cues).

Locked deck support would be helpful.  I don't know if this was covered in any other threads, but support for ASIO over Ethernet would be useful

Could you tell me in wich mode Hot Cues are loaded automatically on the RX ?

The hot cues can auto-load when you browse for the track, but not if you load it from a search or use the "load previous" function.

Sad... Release 1.6 don't give Play lock...

My hot cues are not loaded automatically. I always have to push on "hot cue" button twice and push on the pads to call them first. Whatever the way to pick me track. Maybe I missed a thing ?

Please put load-lock as a switchable option. There are people, included me who doesnt recommend locked decks. thanks a lot!

I was told it would be in a future update, I made the assumption it would be in the one just released. As it turns out, it wasn't. Everyone is waiting, myself included.
