From what I learned in another thread, XDJ-RX can't control the newer Rekordbox DJ, via usb or network cable. You can only use it as a standalone unit by preparing your collection with an older version of Rekordbox, then connect via Cat5/Cat6 cable or (with USB key/drive). Funny how they release this product and now months later, it's kind of obsolete. Oh, and it doesn't work with Serato or any other software controllers. It is what it is, and that's why I bought a DJM-S9 (will use CDJs and turntables for control) and am selling my XDJ-RX.

XDJ RX & REKORDBOX DJ 4.04 CONNECTION PROBLEMS
I am trying to connect my XDJ RX to Rekordbox Dj via USB 2.0 for Midi control.
Now i have updated drivers and i can get everything up but both Deck 1(A) and Deck 2(B) are using Ch1 Volume slider and Crossfader side, CH2 Volume Slider is not working.
I am using the Pioneer XDJ-RX ASIO ver 1.0 in preferences
Also the Vinyl buttons are working the opposite to normal settings ie vinyl mode when not illuminated.
I have searched this forum and the only thing i have found is a similar problem with someone using Traktor and the problem was 64bit/32bit windows system problems as per link below.
I am using Windows 7 and computer has enough RAM etc..
Any help would be much appreciated.

@Adam > That's not true at all - the XDJ-RX CAN and does control rekordbox just fine.
@vinnytion > You need to make sure that you're in INTERNAL mode (it should default to that and not give you an option to choose EXTERNAL), and MIDI mixer mode (on the RX).
Hi Pulse
Internal is default , you cannot select External and Midi mixer mode is what i am using.
the XDJ RX connects fine and works but output sound from both deck 1 & 2 using same volume fader and only one side of the crossfader.
Adam - Apparently Traktor works with XDJ RX and will be working with rekordbox dj sometime and is far from obsolete
Really? Not fully functional yet, is it (with Rekordbox DJ)? Sounds like it might be now? If Traktor works with XDJ-RX, maybe I'll keep it for that! Now I will learn a 3rd platform to DJ on! Thanks for trippling my work-load with my music prep, manufacturers!
@vinnytion > Did you install the XDJ-RX driver and change the mixer mode (on the RX) to MIDI? If you don't do that, the audio will come through one channel only.
The same thing is happening to me, Only the Left channel is showing audio from both decks, The controller is set in Midi mode (USB MIDI on left side of the screen and (MIXER MODE: XDJ-RX on the right side of the screen. In the Utility Menu the Mixer mode is set to (XDJ-RX). When I go into Preferences the Input channels section and I click on (SETTING UTILITY) it says (AUDIO DRIVER and under that it says (VALID DRIVER DOES NOT EXIST)
Hi Pulse that has sorted the problem - usually simple solution and user error - did not change the mixer mode in utility setting thank you very much.
Oswald try what Pulse says put the mixer mode into midi not XDJ RX.
And maybe you have to update your drivers

The drivers for the XDJ-RX is up to date 1.00, when I change the Mixer Mode to Midi Control the audio is only showing in the center channel, no left or right decks channels. When it is in the XDJ-RX mode the audio is only showing on the left channel. What about the Setting Utility (Valid Driver does not exist) . What's that all about?
Yes when in the Midi Control mode in the menu only the Master output leds are showing, nothing in the left and right decks. In XDJ-RX mode only the left channel meters are reading?
The drivers that Pioneer gave is the wrong one, it is for Yosemite Mac OS Ver 10.10 it says that in the update history PDF file of the XDJ-RX drivers download
@Oswald > The driver available on the Pioneer support site is for El Capitan and all previous versions (OS X 10.6 to 10.11).
Well at least Pioneer should provide specific instructions to users of the XDJ-RX as to what to see and expect on how the unit will work with Rekordbox DJ and not have the users jumping in the forum all confused. I have seen a video on YouTube where the meters are showing only on the Master output, I guess that is how it is supposed to work?
@Oswald > Correct; the soundcard is configured in MIDI mode to be master output (1&2) and headphone output (3&4), so no channel metering is shown on the RX itself.
I posted a video yesterday outlining the steps for setting up the RX on Windows for use with rekordbox; the steps are very similar for Mac.
Thanks , Now I understand.
This was all very helpful, wish I would have found it sooner but still having the problem with the cue. Set to 3&4 but no output. It actually works good using Link but I would like to see waveform on the computer and other functionality.
Hello all.. I have exactly the same problem.. I have updated the firmware to latest 2.1 version available, I have updated the driver on my mac to the latest version and I have updated the latest rekordbox version(4.2.4). Audio Mixer set to internal and Midi option selected in the XDJ-RX... Have done everything explained in other forums and I still have both channels going through channel one on the XDJ-RX.. Please help!
@Sebastian > Can you please post a screen shot of your audio configuration page from rekordbox?
Hello guys I need some help my rekordbox not working with xdj rx..some advice or help
@Alfred > Need a bit more information...
Are you on Mac or PC?
Do you have rekordbox in PERFORMANCE mode?
Do you have the appropriate drivers installed?
Do you have the XDJ-RX selected as the audio device in the preferences?
I use pc
And the other 3 questions?
I had this same issue tonight after no problems previously.
Settings all correct on rekordbox and on XDJ
Solved! Someone had switched the input selector on the right deck from DECK2 to PHONO/LINE which disabled the rekordbox/midi functionality! Took me ages to spot!
