Are the USBs 3.0 and does it happen on both 32g and 64g?
Hi, Occasionally after updating my USB drives (Lexar 32GB, 64GB, or SD cards I plug it in to the decks (cdj 2000, 2000nexus etc) and there's only a content folder, no playlists that I have synced with the sync manager appear at all.
This is easily fixed by plugging it back into my computer, hitting sync again (which its basically instantly). I test it again and they are all there.
Clearly all of the content showing in rekordbox is actually on the USB drive (hence the instant second sync), but it seems like the record box database file isn't being written properly. It's a bit of a hassle because what if this was to happen at one of my gigs where I don't carry my laptop with me.
I have 4 usbs with nearly identical content incase this happens, but it has happened one where 2/4 usbs had this issue.
This has been happening for the past year, and reading other posts I'm not the only person with this problem, and you are yet to provide a solution :(

Are the USBs 3.0 and does it happen on both 32g and 64g?
@Jason > What are the models of those USB drives?
USB 3.0 Lexar 32gb, , USB 3.0 Lexar 64gb, also happens with my 32gb SD card Toshiba HD SC.
After asking around on facebook I have come across 4 other people that experience the same issue, also only occasionally. Its very inconsistant and as mentioned its a real worry if this was to happen live. Please get this bug sorted.
Still no fix for this? Reading through other threads I am not the only person to experience this.
I've also noticed it is more likely to happen when more than 1 device is plugged in with rekordbox open. However it still happens sometimes when just one device is plugged in
This happens to a friend of mine also. 2 pny usb3 64gb drives. Every few syncs the player shows contents, not playlists until he resyncs again
I thought it was just his setup and something was wrong but now that I'm seeing this more and more here I guess it's a bug
It happens since I got a 2000nxs2 deck - never on the 2000nxs - but for me syncing doesnt work. The only workaround Ive found so far is to wipe the sdxc card and reload. Which is a pain cos thats 120gig.
I exactly have the same trouble with a 64gb usb.
And sometimes I cannot neither find any tracks at all when I plug the usb to the CDJ2000nxs2...
You guys could help me ?
Cheers
This happened to me at a gig just last night on the CDJ2000nxs2 for the first time. It was using my tried and true 64gig Sandisk USB 2.0
Luckily I knew the set well enough to play it all on the fly browsing through my content folders but it was a bit stressful.
I'm going to buy 2 USB 3.0 drives and recreate everything on those I think.
@John > Yeah, I'd try using a better quality USB drive.
I got new Kingston usb sticks, 32Gb as everyone told me this is the maximum a cdj can read. my older kingston usb sticks worked great, but i needed more space. my new usb have the same problem as you have. In 2years its still not patched... I tried low level formatting my usb drive. copying from rekordbox is still very slow (0.1MB/s) is i check task manager. and I doubt it will fix the problem. its very dissapointing. as these players cost more than 2000€... i just want to know the problem so i can fix it.
@TBO > If you're getting an export speed of 0.1MB, the problem isn't rekordbox.
Yep you are totally right, i dit crystaldiskmark and these usb sticks are terrible. Sorry for blaming pioneer for this! Is the problem with showing 'content' intstead of your playslists related to this?
@TBO > That's likely due to not having exported from within rekordbox, or the export database having been moved / damaged.
