[SOLVED] XDJ-R1 - Downgrade from FW 1.04 to 1.03?

Is there a way to go back to the 1.03 firmware for the XDJ-R1?

Thanks!

I saw in another post that the recommendation from Pioneer was to NOT use the 1.04 FW.  If that is the case then, for those people that have already installed 1.04, the 1.03 FW should be made available from Pioneer for us to downgrade.

This was posted a few years ago by one of the mods "This serves as a notice to anyone posting information regarding firmware downgrading:

- Pioneer does NOT endorse downgrading CDJ firmware as certain components of the firmware may not be compatible with other components, causing faults with playback or performance.

- Your post will be removed and your access to the forums will be suspended permanently - there are NO further warnings".

Allowing FW downgrades is like admitting fault, I don't think Pioneer will do that, they will probably release an update, the big question is when, I posted my issues a week ago and no response, what issues are you having with your unit?, the more complaints/issues hopefully will push them to have a fix sooner than later or not, who knows.

I am having all the same issues that other posters are having.  It seems to be a pandemic.  And, yes, in a post, one of the mods recommended upgrading the upgrade to 1.04.  That, to me, says that we should be able to go back to 1.03 without having to worry about ridiculous threat messages like the one post above from pioneer.

I was using 1.03., it's no better.   Crashed on me in front of a full club...

I guess it's just a severely flawed unit.  I don't understand why Pioneer has been rushing to release their products lately, they have a foothold on this market, prolonged beta testing should not affect their bottom line.

I was going to return my unit for a new one hoping 1.03 firmware would be better.  I regret updating it.

Good to know 1.03 is garbage before I waste the time.

I think they should do a product recall.  Fix it properly first.

There is no ability to downgrade firmware. I've raised your issues to the attention of the engineers who are working on identifying and fixing issues.
