DDJ-RZ Sampler

Am I correct in saying the RZ can capture loops from a playing track on the fly and then play one-shots or loops over the tracks, live?
Will this work similar to Traktor's remix decks?
Is the maximum loop size of samples yet know? (32 beats in Traktor).

I believe that's how it functions but can't speak any more than to what you've already seen in the promo videos.

Yes..and more intuitive
You can load an entire track in a sample deck, or loop, slice etc

I believe the max loop size is 32 but you can use the "In" and "out" to adjust the size then capture it to sampler regardless

Cool.
So, for example, I have a track playing.
I select loop size and then hit capture which will save it to a sample slot,
already predetermined to any of the 8 pads?
Then I can change the sample from Loop to One Shot?
All done using the hardware and not touching the keyboard/mouse?

Currently changing to One Shot i have to use mouse to "edit" sample, its not buried but not optimum, that being said there may be it's midi mapable.
I do not see a keyboard shortcut option either.
Also I do not see an option to change sample to one shot by default, which kinda blows. (Pioneer) if your listening.

It does work, but it's a work in progress of course.....definitely workable imo

Think I'll wait a little while until there's more videos of the capture/sampler in use live.
Thanks for the info!
