Press the INFO button.
Thanks
i was looking to have it show next to the trackname on each deck without pressing the info button. or change the track name to the tracks file name would work
I'm with TheFunkymonkeyUK - would be nice to see all ID3 Tag or Track info without having to push the button. This day and age, there are tracks with names like Get Low, and I want to know if it's Lil Jon or Dillon Francis without having to push a button to find out which one is the one I'm after. To all the Pioneer Engineers: Please reach out to some of us DJs before putting a product out, not just the famous club/festival guys. I appreciate the direction you're going but realize where the Denon guys left off 8 years ago and where you're at now - want to truly be a Pioneer? Reach out to me and I'll fill you in on the functionality necessary in a stand-alone unit that will sell like hotcakes!
Simple things like this should have been addressed prior to development and release. But yeah, "Press the INFO button." (Only shows the track you're on, not all in your search or even what's on the screen.)
@Adam > As a DJ, I'm curious as to how you would load Get Low and not know which version it is as the unit displays the artist when browsing the track... ;)
Your comments and feedback are certainly appreciated, any opportunity Pioneer has to implement these features into the current hardware is investigated but sadly many are not able to be added due to restrictions in processing, memory, etc.
In browse mode, it only shows the title in the title menu. It would be nice to be able to add the fields we like to display, no matter what menu you're in. (only displays after pushing the "info" button on the track you've selected.) As for my feedback, I'd love to have a one-on-one with someone who cares. I tried to connect with Jay at the DJ Times Expo (and others representing Pioneer there) and they really weren't helpful or receptive. As for the hardware, software and architecture - even the processing and memory - sounds like it can all be improved for future versions. Thank you for your reply, Pulse.
@Adam > You know in browse mode you can have additional or different fields visible to assist you in browsing? Open rekordbox, open the preferences, go to the CDJ function and select the Column tab and you'll see this:

You can select any of those items, and don't forget that on the RX you can also press the MENU button to select a sort option as well.
I understand why the guys at Expo didn't seem interested, they were probably pretty busy with the show floor, and while part of a fantastic team, the demo DJs aren't the best people to provide the feedback on the products. You're certainly welcome to send me all your comments - with your permission I'll email you at the address on your profile to establish communication outside the forum.
I will try that...thank you! Yeah, the two-step search would be ideal, but I think this will help for now. Please feel free to reach out via email.
I also really miss this feature to show the artist next to the title. Or just an option to set which info do I want it to write: file name, track, etc.

@Fabio > Press the INFO button on the RX.
@sham > You just need to get that additional meta-data into the songs and you'll be fine.
