Rekordbox App - Flac Support

Hi,

the new CDJ-2000NXS2 is supporting FLAC-Files.
The App was updated to support the CDJ-2000NXS2, but FLAC-Files don't work.

When will the App be updated for FLAC-Support?

thx for answers, ice

They will not be supported as the file sizes would be too large, sorry.

Sure Tom, Rekordbox does it, but the App for iPhone and Android does it not, that's the point.

And why are Wav and Aiff supported on Android? They are bigger than flac

So if i am reading this correctly, an Android OS tablet (e.g. Microsoft Surface) with the RB App is fine to play AIFF/WAV files!

And connect this via USB to one CDJ2000, LINK and all good to drag and drop tracks within the RB App library onto the virtual decks ready to go?

If so this is music (excuse the pun) to my ears!

What doesn't Apple allow?

Currently on my iPhone iTunes and Traktor  both play large AIFF and WAV.

Apple doesn't allow 3rd party media apps to store AIFF and WAV.

Pulse it's no excuse really. Traktor plays back my AIFF and WAV fine.

Just use iTunes to sync the files and you're done.

Still find it ridiculous that this app doesn't let us use our lossless formats. I know I gotta let it go but it makes no sense at all.

As official Pioneer comments, I think these responses are absolutely shocking! Pioneer do you think we are stupid??? "They will not be supported as the file sizes are too big"... Uhhhm, you do realise that WAV files are bigger than FLAC files? So there goes your point out the window.

Dan Moore, you're so right!! I want the quality of my FLAC files. But would prefer not to have to use my Traktor controller to achieve that in a club. Honestly can't believe Pioneer can be so backward.
